Fandom Fire Station, Friday
Travis was doing his best to ignore the crow that had landed on the fire station sign just outside the window. It was just one crow. Sure he'd had a whole conversation about crows with Marc earlier in the week, but that didn't mean that one crow hanging out outside was anything to worry about.
It definitely wasn't looking at him funny. Why would it? It was just a crow.

There had been no cupcake class today, of course, which meant there had been no convenient reason to see Travis today. Or since Monday when Stark had failed at getting out of the fire station unnoticed. So he was just going to stop by today to say hello. With some cookies because he just happened to have picked some up on the way over here. Nevermind that the bakery wasn't at all on the way.
"Hello?"

The island was small enough that basically anything had plausible "on the way" status.
"Stark!" Travis was glad to see him. He was also glad to have a reason not to stare suspiciously at that crow. "Hey, how's it going?"
no subject
"It's going well enough," Stark said, offering a smile as he held up the bakery box. "I brought a snack. Unless you're busy?"

Which was not at all related to people sleeping (or not) in the firehouse.

“Does it — it doesn’t really do that, does it?” Travis asked, definitely not thinking about that crow.
no subject
"I don't know that it does either," he said after a moment. "But it could. I wouldn't be surprised. Sometimes it seems to. It would explain some things. Maybe best not to think too hard about it. Would a cookie help?"
Stark could offer distractions in the form of baked goods. Or in the form of something else. If needed.

He stepped forward until he was close enough to offer the box. "Plenty to choose from, at least. Hopefully I brought something you like."

"Which would you like first?"
And honestly, if more than one kiss were required he'd be willing to make that sacrifice.

"I think that depends," Travis said,
attempting to besuave. "Do you want me to taste like cookie?"no subject
And then he heard what he'd said and looked a little shocked at himself.

Travis smiled broadly.
"Kiss first, then," he said, and reached over to tug Stark in.
no subject
"If you insist," he said grinning a little as he allowed himself to be pulled closer.
Then, of course, there was the very serious business of proving his point about the way Travis tasted to attend to.

This was so much better than worrying about that crow!
Travis kissed back, resisting the urge to press even closer, considering they were very much in a public place at the moment.
When he pulled away, he tried not to think about whether or not the crow had been watching them.
no subject
"Going to try the cookie now?" Stark asked quietly. "Or was that enough?"
He didn't think it was enough but they were, indeed, in a public place.
"There are plenty of cookies. Or..."
no subject
"Or?" Travis prompted, smiling up at him.
no subject
He was just going to set the cookies down for a moment. Just in case he needed both hands free for some reason.
