The room was not decorated like an Italian flag this time. There did seem to be something of a green theme, however. Some of those green decorations were fuzzy. Deciding whether or not that was a good thing would be left as an exercise for the participants in this evening’s class.

“No pizzas this week,” Stark said. “Definitely no pizza beer.” At least he hoped not. “And no fish.” He really hoped not and he was giving Summer a look that very clearly conveyed just how betrayed he was going to feel if things had changed and there was a fish cupcake under the cloche this week.

Summer just grinned, a little apologetically (and sincerely so), as she reached over to reveal that there was, indeed, no fish under the cloche this time.

"Ta-dah!" she said. "We're looking at artichoke and kiwi cupcakes! Why? I don't know! But your mission….should you choose to accept it…is to figure out at least one dish with kiwi and artichoke hearts that makes more sense than doing it in a cupcake.

"And your time…starts…now!"

Like you’re a small flightless bird or a fuzzy fruit

Your cupcake inspired baskets this week contain canned artichoke hearts, kiwi, lemons, and vanilla beans.

Did you make something that makes more sense than a cupcake with artichokes and kiwi? Your instructors certainly hope so.

Hopefully you have not betrayed them too much with your dishes.

Stark was there. Hopefully not too traumatized by any foods he'd just been forced to try.

Honestly, Summer was starting to look forward to what everyone would come up with in these challenges. Whether that was something she should start getting worried about or not, however, was still in the air.

Connor had given it his best but he wasn't sure this was anything but a miss still....

"I have some pasta with artichoke and mushrooms, seasoned with lemon juice. And on the side, there is a kiwi and melon salad with vanilla bean extract sauce."

"That sounds much more appealing than the cupcake," Stark said, relieved.

"But," Summer countered, because she could and she would, not necessarily to disagree, but just because that's how these things were just supposed to go, "they don't feel very cohesive, do they? More like two separate dishes. I would have liked to have seen more to bring them together."

Shane Gooseman

Goose wasn't entirely sure if his food made more sense than cupcakes but he had attempted to make a meatloaf using the ingredients.

It had mostly held together too. He was actually rather proud of the way it turned out.

Guillermo decided to try his hand at making a stifry with the ingredients and unlike Professor Cutter's attempt the other week, at least his one did in fact resemble a stifry.
