With his newfound position as owner of Atlas Gym, Gladio thought it would be hilarious to gift Prompto with a free annual membership to the place for his birthday, but, for some reason, he didn't take Gladio up on the offer to include a free extra special birthday training session with him, citing that he'd rather 'actually live to make it to thirty-two, thanks.' Gladio said he'd go easy on him! It was his birthday, after all! But for some reason, Prompto wasn't buying it.

Gladio was, however, at the gym, anyway, not only for his own workout, but so the staff could really show him the ropes, if they were really serious about him running the joint.

And when they said 'show him the ropes,' he didn't actually think they meant it literally. They shouldn't have been surprised, however, when the tour of the place was put aside so that he could give the climbing ropes a good test run and encourage and convince them all to have a go and maybe a few trial races.

And, by the end of it, when he was all pumped up with adrenaline and they were all exhausted, he clapped a hand on one of their shoulders and laughed.

"Remember," he pointed out, "you guys voted for this!"
