Ignis showing up last weekend had pretty much finally sealed the deal for Gladio: for some reason, they were all stuck back here again, and he wasn't very likely to do anything about it any time soon. A small part of him hoped maybe the island would give him a break by sending Iris along in a short while, too, but he doubted it. Iris had never lived here, so she lacked that connection with the place, and, besides, like Prompto pointed out, Eos needed someone like her right now; it didn't need them anymore...

Which seemed pretty easy for him to say. Someone in Fandom did need him. A little harder to make that same argument for himself and Iggy.

Either way, though, whatever the hell was going on, he was still stuck, and he might as well start trying to make the best of it. An idea had started to percolate in the back of his mind with the gym, so, today, he was going to be working a little in some of the open training space. Generally, he preferred his Genji blade, for many obvious reasons, but, for this particular trail, he was definitely working with his greatsword today. Generally, it was a more impressive weapon to an amateur eye, but it was bigger, meatier, and better for testing the limitations of the space for practice and forms.

Honestly, he was mostly just glad he'd actually had both of them with him when he wound up here, or he'd be having to shove an awful lot of money over to that blacksmith...
