When Steph unlocked the store and got ready to start opening up, she found Little Bot diligently sweeping up a layer of entirely random dry leaves, fallen from... somewhere that was definitely not here, inside the store, where there was a distinct lack of trees. This was, for some reason, the thing that reminded her that it had been a couple of months now at least since the pine cone problem had petered out.
Man. I do not miss that at all. No idea why it stopped, but I'll take it as a win anyway.
There was a shelf full of winter holiday-themed games set out where there had definitely not been a shelf of winter holiday-themed games yesterday, and Steph stopped short in her tracks when she realized it.
"No," she said out loud, slipping into her Stage Manager Voice. "It is not time for that yet. Absofuckinglutely not."
