Trooper Station, Friday

Apparently the player universe felt it had been far too long since anyone at the station opened a drawer only to find it sloshing with coffee, because that’s what was happening today. Every drawer was coffee: some of it hot, some of it iced, but all of it coffee.

Hopefully no one had need of any files or anything today, because… coffee.

"There's no such thing, Llew," Steven told him. He gave Llewellyn's hand another squeeze. "I love you. If you have need of me I want to be there. You would for me, wouldn't you?"

“Yes, of course,” Watts affirmed.

"And you're never too much," Steven told him. "No matter what you need. I promise."

Watts visibly relaxed, giving Steven a small smile. “All right.”

Steven leaned over to give Llewellyn a quick kiss. "I love all parts of you, Llew. Even the ones you think might not be worthy of being loved. You're a package deal for me. Same as me for you."

He did try to remember that, and was in fact even getting better at it overall. “Whatever I’ve done to deserve you, I’m glad to have done it.”

"Love all the parts of me?" Steven said. "That's not nothing, Llew. It's major. I know I can always rely on you to be there for me. I'm glad to be there for you. Honored, actually. It's a great deal of trust, isn't it? To let someone see you when you're vulnerable."

“There’s no-one I trust more than you,” Watts told him.

Steven moved to thread their fingers together. "It's you and Marc for me. Can't imagine being without either of you. Especially when I need someone."

“Marc’s up there,” Watts told him. “You do beat him out by… a smidge,” he added with a tiny smile, because while he trusted Marc with his life there were things he’d only ever told Steven. “And you shan’t have to imagine such a thing, as you’re quite stuck with me, I’m afraid.”

Steven gave Llewellyn's hand a squeeze. "Good. Through thick and thin, you and me and he. No matter what."

“We are a team,” Watts agreed. “And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Steven gave Llewellyn's hand a kiss before letting go so they could resume eating. "And before we know it, perhaps others in our lives as well. Besides Illyana, of course. Though that's also exciting."

“She seemed pleased that I knew how to address her correctly,” Watts told him.

"Because you're gentlemanly," Steven said, once again looking at his beau in a besmitten fashion. "I got the idea she's not used to - well, she seemed to identify with Midnight a bit. Back when we told her how it needed a little kindness and understanding and a chance to do right. Be honest, I'm glad she's staying with us. Had it in mind to keep an eye on that if the chance arose."

Watts nodded, because Illyana wasn’t the only one who could identify with what the House had experienced. “I like her.”

"Marc does as well, which is nice," Steven said. He took a sip of his mocha then added, "That was even before she gave him vodka."

Though the vodka hadn't hurt.

“Though I’m betting the vodka helped raise her a point or two in his estimation.”

"He's keeping some in his office now," Steven said. "Had Midnight put in a little fridge for it and all."

Was Steven smug that Marc had an office? Yes, yes he was.

“Settling in quite nicely then, I’d say,” Watts said, smiling a little at that smugness.

"He'll have his own desk soon enough," Steven said. "Once Dwight's kitted out the rooms and all."

In the meanwhile Marc was going to continue making due by borrowing Steven's while using a spare chair from their dining room.

Which made Steven think of something. "Oh! We could get him a chair, couldn't we? Dwight can't make those, things with cushions."

“We could,” Watts agreed. “We should. Something better suited for sitting for long periods of time than one of the dining room chairs.”

"It could be a present from you and me," Steven said. He grinned. "And nice thing is it'll be easy to test if it's comfy."

Because Steven could sit in it first, you see.

Though would Marc even say anything if it wasn’t all that comfortable?

“Is there anything else we need for the house?” Watts wondered. “We could make a trip of it, out to Ikea Isle.”

Steven frowned as he thought about it. "Incidentals? Curtains and spare cutlery and the like for our guests?"

Yes, at that moment Illyana was the only one coming but as always Steven was optimistic.
