Eleanor knew it was probably a bit of a stretch, but as she was doing various cleaning and tidying tasks around the shop that day, she was keeping an eye open for whether or not Nell had anything like a record player anywhere. She wasn't really expecting one but figured it wouldn't hurt to check. Luma had sent her a bunch of records, without realizing that Eleanor might not exactly have anything to play them on.
She might have to swing by Turtle & Canary later to see if they had any to buy that might be in her price range; she had been saving up most of her money, but it would hurt a little, dishing out too much on a record player just because her sister didn't bother to think about that when she sent the records in the first place.
Ah, well. In the meantime, there would be work and poetry books and tea, which she still felt a little bit bad about helping herself to, no matter how much she knew Nell wouldn't mind.
