It was almost game day and Wanda was in full Halloween mode. Jeff was outside dressed like an evil clown, and Wanda was finishing up the decorations inside. She was still doing her best to make things look classy, but a rubber bat found its way into the mix here and there.

She couldn't help herself.

"It looks really good in here," Steve said with a smile as he came in holding two pumpkin spice lattes.

"Thank you," Wanda said with a smile. "And good news--there's plenty of decorations left for the tiny Avengers tower if you need any."

"I would love that," Steve said. "Yes, please. We can hang bats from the chandelier in the gym."

[scarlet_chaos]

"Chandelier in the gym," Wanda repeated. "Don't think I'll ever get used to saying that."

"Tony," Steve said, laughing and shaking his head. "His ideas of normal are...sometimes not."

[scarlet_chaos]

"He had a very different upbringing than the rest of us," she joked. She looked down at the cups in Steve's hands. "Oooh are one of those for me?"

"This one," Steve said, holding it out. "It's the pumpkin-y one."

[scarlet_chaos]

"How festive," she said, happily accepting the drink. "Thank you. I'm not ashamed to admit how much I love pumpkin spice. I don't care if it makes me basic."

"It's nice," Steve agreed. "I don't understand why people get upset about popular things just because they're popular."

[scarlet_chaos]

"Some people aren't happy unless they're being different from everyone else," Wanda said. "But there's so many people that get upset about popular things that they are actually the popular ones. Which defeats the purpose."

"It really does," Steve agreed, sipping his drink. "And they're missing out. This is good."

[scarlet_chaos]

"They are awesome," Wanda agreed. "Oh--are you and Tony dressing up for Halloween? I still don't know what I wanna be."

"Probably," Steve said, grinning. "We've gone as other Avengers before, which might be funny just to us."

[scarlet_chaos]

"Amusing yourselves is what really matters when it comes to a costume," she said with a wise nod. "It'd be kind of fun to dress up like Natasha."

Steve grinned. "I think you could pull that off."

[scarlet_chaos]

Wanda laughed. "Well thank you. Not sure how comfortable it would be, but I'm sure she would have said the same about what I used to wear."

She had her choice between babydoll dresses or a boob-strangling corset.

"I am a smart enough man not to comment on either of your ensembles," Steve said.
