Pixie Dust; Thursday [10/12].
Sometimes things showed up at the store that made sense: formal wear ahead of a big fancy party, costumes ahead of a holiday all about masquerading and pageantry, sweaters in anticipation of cooler weather. But sometimes, sometimes, something showed up that left Boc absolutely bewildered, especially since he had no idea who was apparently ordering these things. It certainly wasn't him, he didn't even know how to do that, even though he was, technically speaking, the person supposed to be running this shop.
He really wanted to know, though, what in the blazes he was supposed to do with a giant box of unmatched shoes.
Just individual shoes, loose and tossed together, with no discernable match that he could find, although he was diligently shifting through them and organizing them in the hopes that the matching shoe was just very well buried within the others, but the prospects did not look good.
They were all very nice shoes, don't get him wrong, but he did not feel there was much of a market around the town for single shoes without a match.
