Fandom Trooper Station, Wednesday

Well, things were just getting weirder and any attempt on Danny's end to figure it out was just causing a migraine.

But he did follow the fine tradition of so many people before him with a ~~murder board of crazy~~ whiteboard covered in all the clues that had been called into the station. Television heads featured prominently. But somehow so did HelloFresh, which was circled three times by the troopers.

The station was open and doing its best.

"Danny?" Steve called as he brought in two new guys from the Sheetz parking lot (how did a parking lot even fit here? How?!), only one of whom was wearing a shirt. "Do you have the gas stations on the map yet?"

"We've got gas stations now?" But why?

"We do," Steve said, shaking the shirt-wearing perp by the collar. "They got into a fight while stealing beef jerky."

Sometimes he despaired for this country, Daniel.

"Low stakes fight," Danny muttered, adding 'gas stations' to the white board.

"He got the last teriyaki one, man," the shirtless perp complained.

"And we're done listening to you," Steve said, shoving them toward the nearest Trooper.

"Anything else?" Did you bring him Beaver Nuggets at least?

"I brought you Beaver Nuggets?" Steve said, holding them out.

What was this week?

"...I don't even know how to respond to that." With appreciation, Daniel.

"They look kinda corn pop-y," Steve said. "Knew a SEAL from Texas who wouldn't shut up about them."

"I'll take it then." At least they were getting some moderately okay food out of the deal.

"Getting anywhere?" Steve asked, tossing him the bag and looking at the wall of crazy.

"Not unless you count knowing where all the Starbucks are."

Which was when Ralph stepped up to add another to the map.

"Well, at least that Starbucks reward card'll come in handy," Steve said wryly.

Danny smacked him on the arm for that. "This is gettin' out of hand here."

"I'm this close to getting you one of those apple things for free," Steve said.

"The pastries?" Danny asked hopefully.

"We are drowning in pastries on this island right now," Steve said. "And French fries."

"But it was really good," Danny said, mostly because he wasn't aware of the Olive Garden on island.

"It wasn't as good as the pie last night," Steve decided.

"That pie..." Danny would almost be sad to see that place go.

"The pie made the extra running worth it," Steve said, nodding.
