The Perk- Wednesday afternoon

Sabine was bored, which meant she headed to the Perk and got a coffee, but it was really a cover for her to be able to hole up in the corner and sketch. Mostly just the goings on around her, though she'd also taken to adding hidden lothcats or gremlins in the scene. Even if she was the only one who would ever see it, maybe when she looked back at it, it would surprise her.

You had your fun, Sabine had hers.

Anakin needed a coffee before heading off to his son's recorder concert (Force help him) and so he was in the Perk ordering the biggest black coffee that didn't come in an actual bucket.

"Hello."

"Hey," she said with a nod. "I didn't even know coffee came in that size."

"You have to know to ask," Anakin said with a little smile. "I've been here for a while."

[seriesofbaddecisions]

"I know. Skywalker, right?" she said.

She knew who he was. And he had a little different context for her after dealing with Ahsoka.

"Anakin," Anakin confirmed. "And you're Sabine Wren."

[seriesofbaddecisions]

"Wouldn't have thought you'd remember that," she admitted. (Though her symbol at least had been kind of all over the warehouse district so it wasn't like she hadn't left some mark.) "How's it going?"

"Well," Anakin said, hefting his giant coffee, "I have to attend my son's recorder concert in an hour."

Truly the terror of the galaxy.

"Sounds like torture," she said, not unsympathetically.

Wait until Anakin got there and discovered the gong at the end of each song.

"Possibly. They're very enthusiastic but not exactly musical."

"And you never know, some might be prodigies."

She supported the arts! But your ears, Anakin. Your ears.

"Do a lot of prodigies start on the recorder?" Anakin wondered.

[seriesofbaddecisions]

"I don't have stats on that," she said. "Sorry."

[sith_happened]

"I have to say that I'm disappointed to hear that," Anakin teased.

"Not a lot of recorder concerts on Mandalore," she explained.

[sith_happened]

"I'm picturing that right now, and the mental image is something," Anakin said, laughing.

"I can't picture it at all," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

"It turns into a weapon fairly quickly in my imagination," Anakin admitted.

"In reality something would have exploded before it ever got to that point," she said. Maybe a tiny bit wistfully.

"Wonder if I could blow up the recorders before the concert," Anakin wondered.

[seriesofbaddecisions]

"Valid life choice, if you don't mind crying," she said.

"It would be a lot crying," Anakin admitted. "I'd be okay with it but my wife would hate it."
