Around town (aka Missouri)- Thursday early morning
If yesterday's time in the city was too much for you, you'll love the vaguely Joplin, MO area!
There wasn't much. The causeway was next to a cow farm (you might feel the need to moo to alert others to the presence of cows, which isn't Fandom compelling you as much as it is the right thing to do), and leaving the island would give you a couple options, aside from looking at farmland. Maybe the Uranus Fudge Factory, advertised on billboards that really had no right being in a town as small as Fandom. Or maybe you could stand in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma all at once! And if you didn't get enough pizza in Chicago, maybe give St. Louis style a try.
HOWEVER.
The Waffle House was back!! And a Buc-ee's had sprouted up near the causeway!! Honestly those could take up your whole day. It's gonna be 91 and they have air conditioning!
[Googled what Missouri is known for and found a list that I swear to god listed tornadoes, the Civil War, and meth.]
