Since it was the holidays next week, Liz was busy trying to work on getting as much of the reports done so she didn’t have to worry about any work over the next week. For the most part she was able to successful complete the reports and spreadsheets that she needed to, there were a few reports she would need to finish in the new year but she would deal with those then. She also found that she only had to answer a few emails that morning so she was having a fairly productive morning overall.

Prompto had a ton of peppermint chocolates leftover from class that he knew Liz would be thrilled to dig into, but peppermint chocolates does not a proper lunch make!

(Even without Iggy's influence there!)

So, lo, along came the usual post-class text:

Liz smiled as she read the text and after a few moments wrote back it’s been a few weeks since we’ve had subs, maybe we could have subs for lunch? 😀😀😀🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘

Yes, Prompto knew that emoji was supposed to probably be a burrito but he didn't want to use just a regular sandwich emoji! So it would have to do!

And a little while later, as one might expect, he came though the door with a bold declaration of "Lunchtime!", brandishing the bags and hopping on over to the counter to hand them over with a kiss.

"I couldn't decide on which ones," he admitted, "I had them make a bunch of small ones and cut them so we can sort of pick and choose."

Liz happily returned the kiss, “it looks and sounds amazing,” she told him with a smile, “I know I’m looking forward to our lunch break,”

"Been working pretty hard on those end of the month and end of the year reports?" Prompto guessed, as he started setting out all the little small sandwiches and the assortment of little bags of chips he'd picked up to go along with them, too.

Liz nodded, “I got most of them done too,” she told him, “just a little more left to do in the new year and that’s it,” she said, “how has your day been, how was class?”

"Class was really great," Prompto told her, with a crooked grin as he remembered how things had gone. "Gladio really ran away with the dreidel idea, and get this. When Nell went up to take her turn, even though there were, like, a ton of different possibilities, she definitely landed her spin on the option that lead to Cup Noodles^TM. If that," he laughed a little, "isn't the multiverse saying something her and Gladio being perfect for each other, then I don't know what is."

He grinned at her a little dopily, then, as he took a bite of a ham and swiss.

"Just like you and me and this place, you know?"

Liz smiled fondly as she listened, “oh that is adorable and absolutely,” she told him as her smile widened, “and I know, I never imagined anything like this could be possible when I came back to Fandom, I’m really glad I did,”
