Of course Steve McGarrett was taking his problem solving class too seriously, and if his options for filling his day was a choice between paperwork about giant lizard property damage and googling "how to get the most eggs into a single picture," he was picking the second option.
He'd get to the paperwork--he was a professional--but the other thing would niggle at him until he looked up solutions.
