*Edward straggles through the door, looking weary. There is a large cut across his nose, although it has long since stopped bleeding. He glances around once, then heads for an empty, large, circular booth.*

Rory wanders in, and spots Edward in the booth.

"Hey," she says, wincing at his cut, "you sure you don't want to have someone look at that?"

*Edward waves his hand in the air.* Nah, I've had a lot worse. I washed it out, anyway.

*glances around* What d'ya want? I don't see any waiters around here, so I'll run up to the bar to get some drinks.

Drinks? The brunette looks slightly taken aback and tries to hide his blush.

"ahh... anything you think is good?" He tries to say casually.

Bottle of rum it is, then. *scoots off to the bar to grab some drinks*

"Uh... kay?" He forces a smile though it looks very unsure. Yeah it's probably pretty obviously he's never had a drink before. Not to mention the last of food in the past few days probably wasn't going to help in this... but Sora didn't know that.

*sits back down at the table with a bottle of rum, a pitcher of cola and three glasses*

*pours some cola into a class, then adds some rum to it and slides it across to Sora* Here, try this.

*Edward takes a long pull of his own glass.* So, where are you from? I haven't seen you around the dorms before.

"Um," Rory thinks for a second. "Could I just get a soda, or something non-alcoholic? I...well, I've recently had an experience that makes me want to never drink anything strong ever again."

She blushes slightly at the memory, and blushes fiercer when she remembers how nicely it all turned out.

Huh, I've yet to have one of those. Er, experiences, I mean. That would make me want to stop drinking. Yanno, discounting hangovers and stuff.

*realizes he's making very little sense and rolls his eyes*

"Yeah, oddly enough, I didn't have too bad a hangover. I just couldn't remember much from the night before, and I..." Rory trails off, unsure how much she should tell Edward, considering they had just met.

"Yeah, I've only drunk the one time...but it was definitely enough to make me never want to go near it again. Or swimming pools."

"Is Rum okay?"

"Um. Well...if you're a pirate, it's great. I won't be having any, if that's what you mean."

"Well I guess I can try it at least?" Gives kind of a half smile and leans back in the booth looking around the bar once more before looking back over at Rory. "Are you new here too?"

"Well...I've been here a little longer than I think you have - I was one of the first enrolled. But yeah, I've only lived here since last week," Rory replies and smiles at Sora.

*slides a glass of plain cola across to Rory* Here, just-soda for you.

*pours a glass of mostly rum and little cola for himself, and settles back in the booth*

Has anyone else noticed this place is absolutely off its rocker, or is it just me?

"Thanks," she says, accepting it with a grin. "Cheers," she adds, raising her glass.

"And yes," she says after taking a sip. "This place is insane. At least you two have...abilities. I'm pretty much lost most of the time."

*Edward shrugs.* Alchemy's not so much an ability as it is a malleable science. It's pretty easy to learn, it just takes a lot of studying. Learning the various structures and reactions of elements, et cetera.

"I was was just a normal kid at first too." He smiles and shrugs. "And to be honest I kinda wish I still was." Sora blushes faintly and takes another drink to hide it.

"Right, right," Rory says, nodding, "but you see, where I come from, alchemy is something we talk about when we're studying the Middle Ages. It's considered fictional. Obviously," she adds, giving him a significant look, "that's not true."

Hey he recognized cola! He smiled in thanks and raised the glass in salute before taking a long drink of it.... Jerking back a moment taken aback by the alcohol in it but it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. "This isn't too bad." He smiled and took a small drink this time, finding it... pretty good.

"But yeah, this place seems way weird... and that's probably saying something considering the places I've seen."

He follows the blonde in, looking around at the place somewhat in awe. He'd never been any place like this before in all the different worlds he'd gone to... though it did faintly remind him of Cid's place in Traverse Town.

Sora sits down with Ed and smiles sheepishly. "I could try the heal spell again if you think you need it." He offers.

Nah, don't worry about it. No offense to you, but I'm a little sketchy on this magic stuff. Besides, I've had worse.
