The Perkolater
Allie walks into the Perkolater and orders a Chai Latte.
She sits at a table near the window and waits for

Can i have a

Yes, trees, but...i also saw a nekkid boy crawl through the bushes 0.o Isn't that odd?
no subject
"A naked boy? Why on earth would a naked boy be crawling through the bushes?"
She stops herself.
"Then again, that may be downright normal considering some of the stories I've heard about what goes on around here."

And yes, there are weird things here. And weird...beings attending the school.

"Um... please don't take this the wrong way... but... what happened to your hands?" she asks in a soft voice.
no subject
I...i don't really know. I was...kinda born this way, i guess. I'm used to it. This week, i found a girl who shook my hand. That was the first time i ever shook hands with someone! *beams*

"Can I," she blushes faintly as she stammers out the question. "Can I touch one?" she asks.
"I am planning to go to med school and would like to learn about anomalies like this," she hurriedly adds.
no subject
"uhm, you can touch them, but watch out, they're kinda sharp 0.o"
no subject
"Can you feel that?" she asks.

"You're a wonderful gardener," she says. "Those trees you were shaping this morning were lovely."
no subject
"those glasses are so damn slippery, don't you think?"

She doesn't want to inundate him with questions about his hands, so she decides to change the subject.
"So what brought you to Fandom High?"
no subject
"Oh sorry...eh, oh right. Fandom High. I was send here by my creater, to get a proper education. I..." Looks at the teacher again, and gets quiet.
"So, why are you on this school? I mean, you seem really smart, and this school seems kinda...dunno"
no subject
"My parents decided to send me here so I could be exposed to different opportunities before I go to med school."
no subject
Yeah, creater. Uhhh...*whispers* i was -created-.
*Looks over at Equalmcsquared again, because there's no need for teachers to know that.

"That's... um... interesting," she says. The science geek in her would love to run some tests on Edward, but the shy girl in her recognizes that he probably hasn't had many friends.
"Are you okay?" she asks, noticing that Edward has grown more uncomfortable in the last few minutes.
no subject
"eh..yeah, 'm okay. Do you...do you want something to eat, a muffin or some cake or something?" he asks, so he could be away from the teachers for a while.

[OOC - want to start a new top level comment when you come back with it? this one is probably about to collapse a second time.]

This place makes very good coffee, *she says as she walks through the doors of the Perkolator*
*One blueberry muffin and mocha latte later, she settles at a table near a window, reading.*

*As she's ordering her vanilla latte, she notices a fellow teacher sitting at a table*
Miss Sidle? Hello. We haven't formally met, I'm CJ. I teach Speech. Can I talk with you for a moment?

Um, I'm sure this isn't what you were expecting today, but I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about that tape you made with Miss Summers...regarding that Angelus boy.

I was just wondering what you thought about...I don't know. Is there something we can do, as teachers? I get the impression that you know more than you're saying...

And many of them are dangerous. *Looks moodily into her latte* I used to work as a crime scene investigator in Las Vegas. You can pick out certain things once you've done that enough. Two nights ago, I thought I smelled fresh blood. But I couldn't narrow it down.
But I don't know that there is anything we can do at this point.

Well, Sara, I'm on your side if you ever need anything. the Doctor (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ten_and_chips/) and I were talking last night about staying aware, and I think you're more aware than we are.
We should talk more often.

I'll try to keep my fellow teachers in the loop, but some seem to think I'm trying to form lynch mobs. It's a little disconcerting.

*Looks at Sara and has a niggling feeling she's seen her somewhere else before...especially after the gun comment*
Anyhow, I do need to run. I just got out of Mass and I have to prep for tomorrow. We'll talk again later?
