The Huntzberger Residence
Veronica walks up on the front porch and takes a deep breath. She's had a few days to process running into Lilly and she is ready to talk to her best friend. She hopes Lilly is home.
Hand shaking slightly, she rings the doorbell.

"Hi, can I help you?"
no subject
"Hi," she says hesitantly. "I'm Veronica. Is Lilly home?"

"Um... which room is hers? I'll go up."
no subject
"Uh, third floor, first door on the left. Are you okay? If you need anything, just let me know."
no subject
"Thanks, Logan," she chokes out the name. "I'm fine. Lilly and I went to school together before coming here."

What am I doing here? she wonders.

"Logan, I told you, whatever you want to do for dinner is..."
She opens the door and sees Veronica standing in front of her, and makes a quick move to hug her before holding back. She still can't contain her excitement that Veronica has come to see her.
"Veronica! Hi!"
no subject
"I, um... I wanted to apologize for kind of freaking out the other day," she says.
no subject
Do you want to come in?" Lilly backs up slightly and opens the door wider, with a nervous look across her face. She's worried that Veronica will spook at any time.
no subject
"Yeah, sure," she says, a ghost of a smile on her face as she remembers many times hanging out with Lilly at the Kane Estate.
no subject
"I am sorry I didn't give you a better explanation the other day, I was almost as freaked out as you were."
She pauses, and tries to smile.
"So, you probably have questions. Fire away, Madame Detective."
no subject
"Yeah, I gathered that by your asking me if I was dead comment."
Veronica has a million questions she wants to ask but she doesn't even know where to begin.
"How did you end up here?" she finally settles on.

Lilly swallows hard. She wants to keep this light, but her attempts at a laid-back tone come and go.
"One benefit of being dead is that I can easily score myself money from Daddy's company anytime I want. So I left Neptune and found this place. There aren't many schools that accept dead kids, or places where you can interact with people a lot in general. So I enrolled, and here I am."

"Lilly, do you still have feelings for Logan?"
Re: cont'd
Lilly plows full-steam ahead, slipping right back into her comfort zone with Veronica.
"Do you still have feelings for him?"
Re: cont'd
"I... I can't explain it... and I know he'll never forgive me for what I did... but... "
She shakes her head, unsure how exactly to explain her feelings.
Re: cont'd
If there is one thing that can be said - most men are so beneath us."
Lilly lets out a dramatic sigh and flops back on the bed with a smile, looking to save Veronica from trying to explain what she can't.
Re: cont'd
"Yeah, I guess it doesn't matter anyway. He hooked up with another girl at a party the first weekend here."
She desperately wants to change the subject and she grasps for the first absurd thing that pops into her head.
"What was the deal with you and Weevil?"
Re: cont'd
Re: cont'd
"No, he's not here. But, to say I was surprised to find out you had something going with him would be an epic understatement. I thought we were BFF, Lilly. Why would you keep that from me?"
Veronica's tone is teasing, but there's a slight undercurrent of serious in her words, basically because she found out a lot about Lilly that surprised her.
Re: cont'd
She pauses, and becomes more serious.
"You're right though. I should have told you, about everything. I'm sorry.
I didn't start out liking him, so it didn't seem like a big deal. I thought he'd be a great fuck, and he was, and then somewhere along the line I...
I don't know how I feel about him. Felt about him."
