Ethnic jewelry is always popular, but I don't know if cowarie shells are quite right.
Copper's real popular right now. *holds up goldstone bracelet in copper wire*
I know the rainbow stuff is pretty, but it has a meaning that doesn't go with what you're saying.
*sees him about to pick up a pot-leaf earring*
And I wouldn't suggest that either.

Hmmm. I think the pink heart necklace would be very appropriate. *smiles roguishly* She likes romantic.
How much is it?

Do you have a little box and a ribbon or something that I could put it in?

*takes the money, does up the necklace*
There you go, honey. I hope she likes it.
Bring her in for dinner sometime. It's always home-cooked.

*perks up at the mention of home-cooked food*
An excellent idea! And if you're ever in need of a bit of poetry or...assistance with official documents, come by my shop.
*smiles again and leaves, with an extra bounce in his step*

lets you know she probably got really laid, probably just a few minutes agois in its usual, hopelessly rumpled style and her clothes are clean, if slightly wrinkled."Um, hi... I called about the waitressing job?" She begins tentatively, not wanting to disturb the older couple. She hooks her sunglasses into the front of her wifebeater and favors them with an small, but genuine smile.

We don't open for a few more hours but I can show you around.
*gestures at man*
My partner, Carl. We'll get married when this goddamned country recognizes my son's marriage--
*checks rant and starts showing Shane around*
We aren't very big yet, just about eight tables and a little bit of a bakery. I think I've got someone for the store part, so you dn't have to worry about that.
Just a warning: don't serve anyone Grandma Alice's Special Recipe Brownies. Those are take-out only. Anything else can be eaten here. We usually have two kinds of pie, a cake and a cookie.
We have three different meals a day. All you have to yell is "regular," "veggie" or "diet" and the cook'll have your orders up in this window here.
It's pretty simple, honey. You get here at 4:30, and do sidework. Cleaning as you can manage. If I get a busboy, you won't have to do so much of that. You get a dinner break, 30 minutes, with dinner on the house, and two smoke breaks of 15. You're on 4:30 to half-past midnight.
I'll cover the last 2 hours and closing, as well as the register. Carl's security, which means you keep his coffee topped.
Sound good?

She trails after Debbie, listening attentively and nodding occasionally as she follows her. She makes mental notes to herself as she goes.
"I can handle bussing," she says with a good-natured shrug as she unzips her hoodie and pulls it and her denim jacket off. She's very slim and tall, but her arms are noticeably toned. "It's no problem."
At the mention of Carl, she turns and flashes a grin at him before looking back at Deb. "Sounds excellent," she says, grin turning into a disarming smile.
