The Doctor, outfitted in a grey suit, squints against the glare of the setting sun as he waits outside Nolita. He is ridiculously happy, but also appears a bit nervous and shaky.
((OOC: CJ--we didn't agree on a pickup, so is this OK?))

She enters the restaurant and looks around for the Doctor, and walks confidently over to where he is waiting.]
Hello, Doctor. *Smiles brightly* It's wonderful to see you.

[to waitress: I'd like a whiskey sour, two cherries and an orange wedge please]
So, it's been all of a day since I saw you...how are you?
no subject
I'm all right. My class today...I don't know, it seems as though some of the students don't quite comprehend some of the subject. Not like I blame them--it's difficult. But it's still frustrating. Don't know if I'm cut out for teaching more than one or two people at a time.
How about you? [hopes she doesn't say 'we're seeing each other too much']
no subject
Oh you should have heard them. It was invigorating. I love days like this.
*Clearly on a high from the lesson*
What were you teaching today?
no subject
[then smiles, because CJ is lovely when she is excited] Schroedinger's Cat and the concept of being neither in a binary system.
...Our Lady of Mercy?
no subject
How did I do? *Smiles*
*Sips her drink, pulls out a cherry by the stem and sucks on it*
Our Lady...*sigh* Catholic high school. It came up because we were talking about fear and pain as persuasive tools...some of them understood the power of the nun with a ruler. *laughs lightly*
no subject
You went to Catholic high school? [sly grin, hands the wine list to her] Oh, and any suggestions? I think the Pinot Noir looks good.
((Mun: [is a foodie wannabe]))

Hmm, I like sweet myself. The Syrah might be good.
no subject
What were you thinking for an entree? I was going to go with the steak frites...simple is best at times. I like Syrah with that.
no subject
((Mun:Syrah is my favorite next to this fab late harvest reisling from Gold Digger wineries...very sweet and very potent, but delcious!))

[leans forward, elbows on the table, face on top of his fists...a slightly feminine gesture, but whatever] So, about that planet--we didn't visit it all too long ago. Rose and Jack were there.

*plucks the cherry from her watered down whiskey sour and sucks on it some more, listening intently*

That sounds amazing. Was it all white and frozen, like a glacier, or what?
*takes a sip of coffee, black, and begins to eat her tart, licking white chocolate off her lips with each bite*
no subject
Well, it was frozen, but not all white--greyish blue, moreso. The thinner parts were clear. Looking out to the horizone, it was very...very Homer, the 'wine dark sea' and all.

*polishes off her dessert completely, whereas she had left some of her entree and side. Puts both elbows on the table and drinks her coffee, watching his mouth the entire time.*

Another night then, when I'm more prepared for it.
So, Doctor, what shall we do now?
no subject
We can go anywhere...do anything. As long as it's morally and ethically responsible. [grin]
no subject
Do you feel like drinks? Or we could...walk...
