Over at the Sheldon Residence . . .
Ivanova resists the urge to caper as she dusts off her hands and reviews her handiwork. After two days of hard work, bruised thumbs, and rebuffing repeated offers of help from Mac, she managed to rig up a much more than adequate revolving gun turret with the ion cannon she bought off of Solo. Alright, so the cannon itself didn't actually work (yet), but it sure looked impressive. She wipes a smudge of grease off her nose, accidentally making it larger, and briefly allows herself to swing the cumbersome thing around, pointing it at various bushes, buildings, and passerby before regretfully letting it rest. She climbs down from the turret room, fixes herself a cup of coffee, and goes to sit out on the front step, idly watching the people passing by and listening to the music blaring at intervals from various houses and business, and the occasional thump of a bass beat from a passing car.

*heads towards the house* I'm really sorry, but I can't for the life of me remember your name. I'm Elizabeth Weir.

Thanks for the offer, but I really need to get some sleep tonight, so no caffeine for me.

Yep, Intro to Anth. I seem to have some sort of mental block when it comes to that class. I keep losing my homework and forgetting assignments.
The professor's kind of yummy, though.

*laughs* He is easy on the eyes, I do admit. But I'm afraid to say, he's very taken.

And thanks for the offer. It'd make things easier on me. Have you ever tried studying when you share a house with three guys whose main hobbies include blowing things up?
no subject
*raises eyebrow* Can't say that I have. I share a room with two guys, but they've not started blowing anything up yet. Just knocking the wall down...

[[Yes, it's a verb. Honest.]]

As for what we're refugeeing from... *hesitates* It's mostly classified, but let's just say it was a group experience that didn't sit well with the US military.
[ooc: It's a cool verb! Hee]

Anyway . . . *pauses* *trails off* *doesn't really have anything to say* *realises she's never been good at small talk* Do you, uh, like . . . oranges?
no subject
*is slightly baffled by the randomness* Oranges... yes, I like them fine enough. I prefer other fruit though. And I've got to be careful, because the citrus can trigger migranes from time to time... how about you?

Sorry, a heh heh. Remembering the last time there was an awkward pause. My
commanderfriend Sheridan offered me some orange juice. I think he was just glad to see real fruit for once. I didn't know that citrus triggered migraines. I don't get them, but I know a few people who do.no subject

*yawns* It was lovely talking to you, and I don't exactly mean to kick you off my front porch, but it's getting late and I should be toddling off to bed.
[[OOC: Especially since I can feel my roomie glaring at me, thinking "It's past midnight! I have an 8.15! Turn off the damn computer!"]]

See you around.
[ooc: *snickers* I'm so glad I never had to share a room! Night!]
