New Employees

Jordan is very pleased to have three employees to help her out with her work at the Coroner's Office. Angelus was going to be the grief counselor and Tru a Medical Examiner, and her newest employee Kate was going to be her secretary, which judging by the piles on her desk, she definitely needed. She also needed more help, and she missed Woody, but maybe she'd meet someone else to banter with here.

Kate reports in for her first day on the job, of course living with the boss was interesting as well. She could do secretarial work, she was young and it'd be an okay job for now.

"Jordan this way of filing just isn't going to work." Kate starts to try and organize Jordan's mess.

Kate looked up from behind Jordan's desk where she was trying to organize everything. "Um...hello." she had no idea who the person was, but obviously he knew Jordan.

"Precious?" Kate asked, he was a little...odd to her. "I'm kind of trying to organize this so it would help if you didn't lean on things." She looked at him, he was around her age, she wondered what he did around here and how he knew Jordan. "Looking for a job?"

"That's um...interesting." Kate said, though she didn't think he looked old enough to work at a pub. "I'll get through it, and it will look presentable in time."

"And I'm sure you'd be just the one to show it to me." Kate replied, her voice clearly laced with sarcasm. "Is there something I can do for you?"

Jordan looks over at Kate and Sawyer. "Looking for an extra job James?" she asked, watching him with her newest employee.

"We kinda need some help around here and I see you're sweet on Katie already." Jordan said smirking at him a bit, even though she had called him James.

"On what?" Jordan asked, crossing her arms and waiting to hear what he had to say.

"Are you coming on to me?" Jordan smirked a bit, she was 33 years old, and he was...younger to say the least but it was interesting. he'd probably have better luck with Katie.

Jordan smirked at him, he was definitely cocky but she liked having him around, it was sort of refreshing.

"If you want to work here and live off campus I have rooms available."

"Does that mean you want the job?" Jordan asked, he was quite charming in his own right.

"You'd get paid much more working for me than some pub, I'm desperate. And free room and board if you decide to move in." Jordan told him, noticing he was looking at Kate as she organized the piles.

Kate had mainly been staying out of the conversation between Sawyer and Jordan, but he was looking at her, so she glanced at him too. "So you're going to be working here now?"

"And living with us as well?" Kate asked, making a face. She wasn't sure what to think of him yet.

"Alright, it's settled you can move in as soon as you like, and you'll meet Tru and Angelus later. You've already met Katie."

Grissom leaves a note for Jordan at her office.

Ms. Cavanaugh -

I understand through one of my students that you have opened a Coroner's Office in Fandom. I previously served as the Coroner of Los Angeles, and have extensive forensics experience. If I may ever be of assistance to you, feel free to leave a note with my office. (Especially if your subjects are particularly insect-ridden.)

Grissom knocks on the front door of the Office.

"Hello?"

Jordan goes to answer the door.

"Hello, come on in."

"Ms. Cavanaugh, I'm Gil Grissom - I left you a note earlier today. I thought I would reply to your message in person."

"Nice to meet you, Dr. Grissom, come right in." Jordan tells him.

"I understand you are a bit short-staffed at the moment. I'm willing to assist your office in any way you need. I have class Monday through Thursday, but other than that I am free."

"What about after classes? We're very understaffed, and I'm no Garrett Macy." Jordan said. "Anything you can do for us is appreciated."

"I can pull a few regular graveyard shifts, and be on-call as needed. If we ever find some of the missing students..."
