Inside Aziraphale's shop

Maia, Angela, Red and his cubs, and Salmoneus have just made it across the park to Aziraphale's shop. They are beginning to barricade themselves inside when they get a welcome guest -- Mr. Phale himself.

Stopping to wait for Salmoneus. "It is appreciated. But who will look after the others," Red said, looking back into the shop.

Angela glances to Maia, and to the cubs, who are in a corner snarling at the charged air within the shop.

"We have a gun here, if you both want to go," she says.

It was a good question, and it made Salmoneus stop. A part of him really wanted to stay. A BIG part of him wanted to stay.

"An excellent point." He almost said he'd stay, but then remembered that this Aziraphale person had said they'd be safe, and Maia had trusted him. "Hm. Maia, what do you think? Will you two be safe, or should I stay and protect you?" He brandished his tree limb. "I swing a mean branch, you know."

*Maia smiled in spite of herself*

"I think Angela and I will be safe. Arizaphale said it would be safe here. You should go, look for survivors and get them to a safe haven."

Looking at Mr. Salmoneus "If it comes down to it though, you get yourself out ok.. i-if you cant save everyone I mean. You get to the nearest haven you can."

Maia gave Mr. Salmoneus a hug "Stay safe"

Red waited for Angela to open the door. They would have to move fast and keep moving. "We'll keep the search areas small for the time being, until we get more people assembled."

Angela opens the door a crack, just enough for Red to slink through. "I'll bring the cubs to your shop tomorrow if you don't come back tonight."

"Thank you," Red said with a bow. He was going to ask her to take care of his cubs if he didn't come back, or see if Shane would...but Red refused to be negative about it. He would come back. "Make sure to stay out of sight," and he slipped through the door and waited to see if Salmoneus was following.

With an embarrassed smile, Salmoneus hugs Maia back. He whispers to her, "If I don't make it, you can have my bank."

He really believes that this is the worst decision he's ever made, but he gives a frightened smile to Angela and moves to join Red.

"You two stay safe." He glances at the cubs. "Aw, so cute." Then he puts his shoulders back and goes through the door. Looking back one last time he calls, "Don't eat all the cookies!"

Red's hackles rose and he started toward the shadows to get them off the street. "Do you want to split up or stick together?"

"Oh, I think sticking together is the best idea, don't you?" The older man moved a little closer to his beastly friend. "We might want to find me a better weapon if we can, though. Those claws look pretty formidable, but I've got, like, a tree branch." He looked closely at it. "Though at least it's a heavy tree branch."

[ooc: unfortunately, no. I work two jobs, one during the week and one on the weekends. During the week I'm on a 'puter all day, on weekends, I run my ass off. But I don't work till noon, so... tell me when you want to meet, and where I should look for you. I'll do my best to be there.]

[let's do this...lets mod our way back having found no one or...directing people to safety, go back to the shop to rest and start out on another patrol in the morning, I'll set up an entry in fandomwtownies when I get up. I'm usually up by 7 or so my time.]

[ooc: that might be a good idea. One post from each of us establishing that we're going to hide out there and batten down the hatches, and then tomorrow we fight our way to the station. What do you think?]
