Spike's Pub, Late Afternoon Sunday
Geoff walks into the pub, scowling. He stops briefly to speak to the bartendeder, then takes sits down at a table in the darkest corner he can find. He then proceeds to get very very drunk.

Early evening
Re: Early evening
*Boone follows Paige's lead, and hurries around her to pull her chair out like a gentleman would. He doesn't know who Geoff is, so he doesn't know he should be looking out for anyone*
Re: Early evening
(ooc-that's ok might be a slight delay in my replies anyway)
Re: Early evening
My mom insisted on it. Good manners, I mean. She...raised me to respect people.
Re: Early evening
I'll have a vodka and coke please, actually can you make it a double. Tell Spike they're for me, mine should be on the house since I work here
Re: Early evening
I didn't know you worked ehre.
Re: Early evening
*Paige smiles at Boone* Don't worry he'll serve anyone, though I'm pretty sure he still thinks I'm 19
Re: Early evening
I bet this is a fun place to work.
Re: Early evening
But erm yeah Spike's cool to work for, free drinks and stuff, plus his jukebox has some pretty decent music

She rests her elbows on the back of the chair as she takes a sip of her own beer, watching him for a moment, noting the pain just behind his eyes that he's trying to distract her from with his forced cheerfulness. "So, what's up?" She asks, doing her best to sound relaxed and casual.

"Yeah, well that's really because I was safe in the students' residence at the school." His voice sounds bitter, and he takes a drink of the ale. "Paige...took me there."
He eyes wander over to where Paige is sitting at a table with one her fellow students, then he quickly looks back at the table in front of him. "You weren't hurt, were you?"

Seeing Geoff's eyes start to wander, Shane craned her neck slightly to look back over her shoulder to see Paige sitting with another guy she didn't recognize, the bruises around her throat standing out in harsh, dark contrast to her pale skin.
At his question, she looks back at him and smiles easily, shrugging.
"Nah, I'm cool," she murmurs, lifting up her beer for another drink.

He shakes his head. "She's good, I'm not afraid of her. I know she'd never hurt anyone. Well, zombies don't count, anyway." He looks up at Shane, confusion showing plainly in his eyes. "Where...I mean, zombies...why would..." He trails off, shaking his head again and looking back at the table. Someone has carved their initials into the wooden surface, and he picks absently at a splinter.

He pushes the crumpled paper around a bit with his glass.
"I didn't know what to do, Shane. Paige begged me to come with her, so I did. And then she insisted that I stay in her room, while she went off to do battle." He laughs dryly. "She left some sort of sword, I guess she figured I could defend myself with it I had to. But I can't. I don't know how to fight. All of those people in the school, in so much danger and all of them facing it, and I couldn't do so much as protect one girl." He laughs again, more bitterly this time. "She left me her...'phone', so I could call her if I needed help."
Geoff drinks down the last of the ale that Shane brought him and motions for the bartender to bring him another.
