Monday at Red's
If Red was anything as a father, he was extremely indulgent. Having gotten his cubs back after the Zombie Affairtm, Sunday was spent with the shop closed and the cubs close at paw and never farther than his reach the entire time. It would take that long for the cubs to settle down again.
A quick bath in the fountain in town had everyone clean of the Zombie guts. It was at that time Red didn't envy those that had to wear clothing.
Monday morning saw Red opening his shop early. The cubs were noisy upstairs in his flat and considering everything they had been through with being separated (which they did endure quite well), he was loathe to leave them alone. Relenting, he allowed them downstairs and he hoped he didn't end up losing customers.
It didn't stop him from letting them have free roam of the shop anyway. Besides, they were cute. Cute was a big seller.
Right?

One cub lost interest in the new person and batted at the can and gave chase again, only to run into his father, then scampering away. The other, sat and looked up at Cameron with interest.
"Is there something I can do for you this morning?" Red looked around at his shop again, then back to Cameron. "A tattoo? A piercing? Perhaps a piece of jewelry for a friend?" He trotted over to his display case that held many different pieces of jewelry. "I carry everything from old Afghan chokers to the silver jewelry of the Cherokee. Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings..."
((I don't mind at all. *grin* I appreciate it.))

"Those bracelets are nice. I'm afraid I'm broke for the rest of the month, though." He shrugged sheepishly, "but if things go right, I might just come back to buy one when I get my allowance."

"Hi, Red, I haven't seen you since we were at the bookstore Friday. I'm glad to see you and-" she glances at the red furballs, one of whom is now batting at her shoelace -- "the cubs are okay."
"What happened after you and Sal went to patrol?"
no subject
"It's all very confusing," he said. "We managed to run up on Gandalf and a young man named Vale...after that..." Red grinned and shrugged. "I went off to see if there was any trouble and ended up at the library with Scooter, a very interesting fellow."
He nodded to her. "I see you got through it well."
no subject
"Relatively well, yeah. We handed the cubs off to some of the townies Saturday morning -- didn't want to risk taking them back to campus -- and I ended up being, like, a medic in one of the zombie battles." She shudders. "We don't have anything like zombies where I come from, except in horror movies. What about you?"

"We were lucky not to lose anyone in the zombie attack," she says quietly, then glances at her watch. "I was supposed to be in class five minutes ago. I have to run, but I'll see you later, okay?"

After a few moments, he presented her with a small, elegant looking tattoo based on her original. "Something like that?"

On his way to town, he takes a detour and stops by Red's shop. Just to check in. Not to check in *on* him. No, not that at all. Looking through the door, he sees Red talking to a customer, the pups running around the floor.
He smiels to himself and goes inside.
[OOC: Not sure how long I'll be here, I have the day off work, but I need to go get my eyes check, so when Mom's ready I'll have to scoot...may be without notice.]

Red, seeing Oz, nodded at him.
((ooc: no worries at all. chat as you can.))

"Thought I'd...uh, see if you need any help around here?" he said with a small smile. School could wait. He could catch Journalism another day.

Pulling the door open, she poked her head in. "Hey, Red," she said with a smile.

Settling back on the ground, he sat and looked at her with a pleased smile. "I'm glad they worked and came in useful. I had confidence it would."

Shane slouched back against the doorframe, tucking her hands into her pockets as she returned the smile. "They did... and you were right... I did know how to use 'em. I wasn't even really thinking about it." She crossed one ankle over the other and looked down at her boots. "Umm... some -- somebody I care about was in trouble and I tried to get her out of the way and... the thing that was after her just kinda ... lost interest and took off. It was like it couldn't even see us."
After a moment, she blinks and looks at him, eyes wide. "Where are the kids?"
