Still open for business

Dante read the newspaper regarding the zombie invasion. He thought back to Friday and Saturday night. He seemed to remember some smelly customers, but they weren't any more obnoxious than his usual clientele.

Dante headed outside to life the security gates from the windows. At least they were able to get the gum out of the-

Silent Bob wanders into the Kwik Stop. He picks up a pack of cigarettes and a pack of twinkies. He ambles to the counter and puts them down with a smile.

"What the zombies couldn't have gotten you? It's $2.75."

Bob makes a sad face at Dante as he fishes around for some money. Pulling out two crumpled bills and a handful of change, he plops down on the counter. It only totals $2.63. He smiles hopefully.

Dante sighs. Mutters something about not being here today and pulls out the rest of the change from the penny bowl beside the register.

"I'd think with the amount of junk you guys sell you'd be able to afford a package of twinkies. Where's your loudmouth hetero-life mate?"

Bob nods a cheerful thank you to Dante. He opens his cigarettes and pulls one out, offering one to Dante. At the mention of Jay his face falls. He shakes his head sadly with a shrug and a sigh.

"No thanks those things cause cancer." Dante says waving off the cigarette.

Bob looks at the now lit cigarette with astonishment, then at Dante, then again at the cigarette. He gives Dante a smirk as he takes a drag. Grinning, he quickly gets his tubby ass out of the store, and takes up his usual spot loitering outside.

Dante sits behind the counter and then places his head on the counter in his typical depressed angst.
