"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine," Shane says with a quick smile. "If Red doesn't come by, can we hold a piece of cherry pie for him? You can just charge me for it."

I promise, my lady, I will not touch the pie. From the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen, however, I may not be able to make the same promise about the chicken.

Leaning out to look, Shane almost falls off of her chair as she realizes that there's someone actually in the shop. She slips out of her seat and heads out to assist them. "Hi," she says amiably as she approaches. "Is there something I can help you with?"
