*looks* What's up?

*Paige frowns* I got fired from my other job for making a little joke *she sighs* some people have no sense of humour!

*spreads arms, as if to offer hug*

Oh, I'm sorry. What happened?

*Paige smiles but decides against hugging Manny for fear of giving him the wrong idea*

*She shrugs* I dunno Spike was kinda annoying me so I maybe mentioned something about how Geoff was a published poet, unlike him and well he obviously didn't take it very well! Jerk!

*Manny drops his arms, and feels a bit foolish*

I'm sorry. Does this mean you'll be short of money?

*Paige bites her lip slightly* Well I'm hoping he'll give me another chance, but yeah actually and I still have to get my homecoming dress! *she looks annoyed*

*It pains Manny to see Paige distressed like this*

Is the dress going to be expensive? I wish I could help out, but working for Bernard... well, you know what it's like. I hope you get your job back.

Oh, your poet has invited me to a card game tomorrow night.

*Paige nods* I think it is yeah *she smiles at him* don't worry Manny I'll find something if Spike won't give me the job back. I got a $100 tip yesterday, so that'll help out!

*Paige looks slightly worried for moment* Oh right, he didn't mention anything. I guess I'll stay out of the way then. Are you going?

He left me a message. I've said I'll go -- he and I have some things we need to talk about.

*Paige laughs slightly* I wouldn't stay away because of you Manny, I just figured Geoff wouldn't want me there. I'm guessing girls didn't gamble much where he's from and I don't want to get in the way. I'll ask him if he wants me there tonight. I guess I could fetch drinks and stuff, you know make myself useful! *she smiles*

*Paige smiles at Manny* Well I guess I'll be around playing hostess!

That'll be wonderful. I'm looking forward to the evening even more now.

*Paige blushes slightly* So is there anything I can do while I'm here, *she thinks a moment* only I can't really stretch much, I just got a tattoo and well I hurt my arm at the weekend

Oh, are you hurt? *is worried* Was that the zombies? I heard about those, but I was away at my *shudder* I was away at the weekend, and the streets were full of bits when I got back.

*realises what Paige just said"

*Paige shakes her head* I'm not really hurt I just strained a muscle, but yeah it was the zombies. Nothing too bad though, it could have been much worse.

*Paige grins* yeah I had it done yesterday, I'm gonna suprise Geoff with it tonight, wanna see it?

*Manny moves closer to her and takes a moment to breathe in the scent of her hair. He takes a look at the symbol, and whistles appreciatively.*

I've got that symbol in a book here somewhere ... Celtic symbolism, I think. *he smiles* I like it. It suits you. I hope you're looking after it properly ... they should have told you how to protect your skin while it settles down.

*Paige nods* Yeah they gave me a sheet on what to do, I just thought it could use a little air, you know to help it heal.

*she lets her hair fall back over the tattoo and turns to Manny* So do you know what it means then? I saw it in a magic book Draco lent me

It means three. In a church it usually means the Father, the Son and the Spirit -- three different ways of thinking about God. If it's in a magic book, then it probably means the three kinds of witches -- the maiden, the mother, and the ... the other one. So which kind are you?

I'm not sure how I feel about being the maiden though, but out of the three I guess it's the best. They're all a bit girlie though *Paige shrugs, she'd have counted herself as a vamp really*

Maiden it is, then. So ... no stretching, then ... have you had someone look at that arm? Should it be strapped up? I don't think there's much going on here at the moment.

A couple of people have looked at it, someone said to put ice and heat on it, so I did that *Paige is careful not to mention Geoff rubbed it better for her* I'm sure I'll be fine, I just need to rest it a bit
