Shane steps inside, decked out in a soft gray hoodie over plain white wifebeater, jeans and her Chuck Taylors. Pulling her mirrored aviators off, she offers Deb a small smile. "Afternoon," she says.

Shane glances at the front of her sunglasses and then looks up at Deb and chuckles as she slips behind the counter to stow her stuff away in a drawer. "Gotcha," she says, nodding.

Subaru wanders in, looking a bit lost.

This is his first venture into town and he's a bit overwhelmed. He stands near the counter nervously and stares at the menu.

It's all pretty good tonight. The pecan pie is a new recipe and a little too sweet.

Subaru smiles slightly. This woman seems nice, not to mention... colorful. He's a little confused by her shirt, but decides not to dwell on it while she's waiting for him to say something.

"Hi! Um," he pauses to sit, quickly, "I would like to try that new... pecan pie? Please. "

Sorry, baby. No chicken tonight, just beef. I think there's a lemon chicken in the fridge from last night. Run it through the microwave if she'd rather have that.

Shane glances over at the menu and rereads it... a bit more slowly and thoroughly this time. "Oh," she says, cheeks coloring a bit. "Sorry." She turns back to Alanna. "It's um... chicken fried steak. They batter it and fry it like... like fried chicken."

Rogue walks in, smiles at Deb and finds an empty booth.

Looking up from wrapping silverware, Shane feels something in her chest give a little as she sees Rogue walk in. Fumbling with the napkin and silverware, she grabs her pad and pen and slips off of her stool, heading over to the table. "Hey," she says quietly.

Hearing the bell on the door go, Shane lifts her head up and cranes her neck, glancing around behind her to see Ben and Michael coming into the shop. As Michael waves, she nods to the both of them in greeting - knowing that Deb will probably want the two of them all to herself.
