Rare Book Shop, Wednesday Evening

The door to the rare book shop is open (which is unusual) and Aziraphale can be seen standing at the counter, writing in a very large leather-bound ledger.

Aziraphale looks up from his book. "Good day, Miss Cregg! What can I do for you?"

I was wondering if you still had the key to the TARDIS. The Doctor isn't home yet and I wanted to surprise him.

"Oh dear. No, I'm so sorry, Miss Cregg. I returned the key to him the other night." He looks very concerned.

Oh. *her expression falls with disappointment*

Hesitantly, not sure what she's looking for, Angela walks into the shop and stands staring at a shelf of heavy, leather-bound books.

Seeing Angela come in, Aziraphale looks past CJ and calls a greeting. "Good day, Miss Chase!" He chuckles quietly. "I do believe this is largest number of visitors I've ever had all at one time."

Angela waves to Mr. Phale, beckoning him over. "Hey. Thanks for your help Friday night." She pauses, feelign silly for asking the question she needs to ask.

"Do you have any books about, like, vampires? I mean, real ones, not Bram Stoker."

"Not at all. You were all terribly brave, and I'm very proud of you." He smiles at Angela, although the smile fades slightly at her request.

"Erm, real vampires? I...hmm. Let me see."


[OOC: I think I'm just going to say that this interaction with Angela takes place after the one with CJ, so I don't have to make poor Aziraphale run back and forth. :)]

"Yeah, like ... how to deal with them," Angela says, waving a little to the professor and feeling terribly self-conscious about having interrupted. "It's for some ... personal research."

After seeing the young lady out the door, Aziraphale takes a seat again in the armchair and pours himself some tea. "And how is the Doctor doing?"

Much better. He's healing up quickly, although he's been very tired.

"Yes, I'd noticed when he was here last that he had injured his shoulder. Perhaps he should take a couple of days to rest." He smiles at CJ. "In fact, I find it quite admirable that everyone was back to work so quickly."

*Smiles* Perhaps he feels bullied because I feel the need to be in the classroom. We do spend a lot of time together...

[The Doctor wanders by on the way back from class. He looks a bit tired, though happy. Someone will have to get his attention.]

As he approaches the TARDIS, a bird flies in front of the Doctor, changing course and veering off suddenly in the direction of the rare books shop.

Inara pauses at the door, then decides she will go in after all.

Aziraphale looks over at the door as Inara enters. Eager to improve upon the somewhat negative impression he feels he made during her first visit, he smiles and beckons her inside. "A pleasure to see you again, dear. Please do come in."

"Mr. Phale. I trust that I'm not interrupting anything?"

"Not at all. Would you...are you looking for anything in particular, or...would you like some tea...?"

Despite his smile and eager invitation for her to enter, it's quite obvious that Aziraphale is upset over something.

Inara notices his state of mind, but only says, "I was hoping to do a little browsing. However, if this is a bad time...?"

She leaves the question hanging.
