Chaucer's, Thursday Night
[This is the thread for the gambling party meeting at Chaucer's Thursday night. The door is open, if you feel up to losing a little money, come in anytime. As long as there are at least two people, the games are on. Geoff will be by sometime in the RL evening ET.]
[EDIT: The game has been cancelled due to an outbreak of maniacal brawling. Anyone who wants to stop by and sympathize with Geoff and Shane will find them here.]

He pops into a shop and picks up a bottle of Old Horizontal on his way over to Chaucer's.
Before he enters Chaucer's shop, he mentally catalogues himself. Bottle -- yes. Money -- yes. Lucky underpants -- check. He's ready.
He goes in.

[OOC: I have no idea when or if the other two guys are "coming back". We may end up playing in slow-time. So, for now, I'm going to say that either they're both here and being very rude, or they left and will come back later. 'Kay?]

Much later, after Shane has gotten off work...
A smile tugging at her lips, she keeps an eye out for a lighted window as she goes, occasionally dodging a rat or a stray cat fishing through the trash. Finally, she thinks she's found the right door. She can see through the curtain-covered windows that there are lights on inside and she can hear chatting voices. Leaning to one side to take a closer look at the door, she grins as she sees a small plaque hanging on the door by a nail, the words on it written in the same kind of elaborate script. "Chaucer's: Poetical Acquisitions and Honorable Gaming Establishment."
She reaches for the doorknob and turns it, poking her head inside to look around. "Geoff?" She calls out.

[OOC: I'm going to move the thread with Maia down here. We'll play in fluid time, because otherwise I'll go nuts trying to manage all the threads.]

Bob leans against the wall next to the door, smoking a cigarette. He rolls his eyes at Jay's antics, then wanders toward the table.

Geoff deals two cards each to Han, Shane, Maia, and himself. He looks at Bagoas and smiles. "Would you like to play? If not, you're welcome to watch, or Paige and her sister are upstairs if you'd rather visit with them."
He turns to Jay and Silent Bob. "Playing or leaving?"
[OOC: Mun will mod for Maia until she returns.]

Geoff,
Sorry, but I can't make it tonight. Something came up. However enjoy the hooch. It's not mudder's milk, but I bet Jayne will like it anyway.

Marty, I'm sorry you couldn't make it. I think it's going to turn into a brawl anyway. Thanks for the gift, though.
