The Emporium is Open (Thursday morning)
Michael flips the sign from "closed" to "open," then peers over at the mousetrap he'd set the night before (at Deb's suggestion). He stares at it in confusion. The trap has been sprung, but it is empty, and the cheese is gone. More disconcerting is the fact that there is a quarter next to the trap. Michael knows it wasn't there the night before. He bends down and picks up the coin, examining the teeth marks on it as he stands up again.
Ben wraps his arms around Michael from behind and kisses his cheek. "See, I was right. A customer."
Michael rolls his eyes. "Great. At least it pays. But if it's living under there, it's going to pay rent too," he grumbles.

Good morning, Chihaya. I hope you're feeling better than you were on Tuesday.

*adds "lots of ammo" to list of things to order*
*thinks of Shaun of the Dead*
*adds "cricket bats" to list as well*
If you can think of anything to order that might come in handy during that sort of...er...situation, let me know. Sounds like it would be a good idea to keep that kind of thing at hand. Especially if I'm actually around the next time it happens...*shudder*

She glances at the counter and immediately recognises the clerk as the boy who had aided Kryceck's group last weekend. She smiles, wonderering absently where his wings went--them marvels that such a thought now seems commonplace.

They're in the back there, next to the dairy case. We had a delivery this morning, so they should be fresh. I'm Michael, I own this place, so if there's anything else you need, just let me know.

This finished, she grabs two cartons of milk, and then makes her way back to the counter, placing the them upon it.

If there's ever anything you want that we don't have, just say the word and we'll order it for you.
