It's Saturday. And it's a beautiful day, so Boone decides to take a walk in to town. He hasn't really had a chance to explore the town, and he wnats to check out the tattoo parlor where Paige got her tattoo done. He's diasappointed to see that it's closed. Not that he'd ever get a tattoo, he wasn't big on pain, but he was curious.

Since the tattoo parlor was a bust, he thought he'd head over to the coffee shop or a resturant or...somewhere. He didn't expect to end up at the printingpress. he had no business there. And yet, there he was. He scratched his head as he went inside.

"Uh, hi." Boone pushed a hand through his hair and sihfted his weight. He had no idea why he was here. "I was wondering...if you...uh, if you needed any...help?"

Boone has never been one of those people who can read and understand body language like that, and yet, he finds himself following the guy to the back. His eyes widen and take in the scene.

"I've never...I'm probably wasting your time...I don't know how...any of this works." Boone admitted, tripping over the words. Damn, this guy was cute. Boone licked his lips, but bent his head to look at the floor, and hoped he didn't notice.

"I...havne't said. It's...I'm Boone. Boone Carlyle." Boone held out his hand, which was shaking ever so slightly with nervousness. "I'd be honored, sir, if you'd let me work for you."

Boone grabs one of the papers and looks at it. "No, it's good. I like...I like it." He nods.

"Yeah, that's...cool. I can...I mean, obviously you can't pay me if you aren't making any money. But the experience will be good, right?"

"Yeah," Boone nods and shifts his eyes so he won't stare at the ink line. He has ink on his hands now, from shaking...his new employer's hand. "Uh, I don't know your name. I mean, I'm guessing it's Kolchak, butr...Is that what I should call you?"

"If you're sure you don't mind, that would be...great." Boone nodded and pushed a hand though his hair. This guy, Carl, made him feel funny. His heart raced just a little too fast in his chest and his palms sweat. Kind of like that day when he'd ~~kissed~~ attempted CPR on Sawyer.

"California." Boone answered, steppin up to the sink tow ash his hands. How...odd that he'd be washing his hands while someone else, someone he didn't really know, was in the shower behind him. He could see a vague shadow of Carl's outline behind the shower curtain in thw mirror. he tried not to look. He tried not to *want* to look.

"I think I heard of that." Boone turns around, leaning against the counter. "I was...wasn't much for reading the paper, yuo know?"

"Yeah. Fuck 'em all." Boone agreed with a little smile. "Besides, if you had your job there, you wouldn't be here, right?"

"I bet you had assistants back home." Boone questioned. And they probably knew what the hell they were doing...

"Oh. Okay. Well." Boone inches oward the door. "I'll just...wait out here for you to get dressed." He nods, trying to convince himself that's the best thing to do.

Boone doesn't even know where to begin to look for a clean towel. "Uh, is there a closet? Or...somewhere?"
