OOC: Adminish Announcement

fandomtownies is now going under a stricter regulation system. The fact that it's been wholly unregulated mostly since that section of the game began is really rather surprising and unfortunate, as it seems to be a greatly popular and fun thing for people to have.

Therefore, a few things are going to change.

1. Those of you who play townies and are not on the list have exactly ONE WEEK to comment and place yourselves there. On October 8th, all townies not on that list (or the student or faculty list) will be removed from the community.

2. As a decision between all of the mod-types, we're cutting down on the sex. Any more requests for prostitution-style businesses will be denied. This is a game primarily about a high school, and while the town is grand fun, there's enough sex going on already.

3. The townies community is now locked. Soon enough, there will be a more standardized application process.

Feel free to ask me, jerusalem_s, principalconnor or dean_bristow anything else, if you need clarification on this issue.

I'm also accepting complaints for a limited time only.

as one can see with the Bagoas thread, we are attempting to involve ourselves in more plot, and less sex, evan among the resident prostitution rings. Infact, if *anybody* wants to involve any of them in any kind of plot, we would be more then welcome to that, above and over just sex, at any time.

Strangely enough, I was too. I mostly just brought Becky in because she's fun to write, and because of the wacky hijinks with Rory. :) I hadn't actually considered that I may have to write pr0n as the Beckster.

This always manages to become some sort of a problem in rp's. I was in a Harry Potter RPG where practically the ONLY thing that happened was sex. Luckily we actually have plottage.

Oh, you should! It's such a good movie - as long as you're kind of arty, and not offended by violence (especially violence of the wincing-because-bad-things-are-happening-to-boys variety.)

Yeah, I always fade to black, because I would get way, way too embarrassed to write out actual sex.

And why does it not surprise me that in an HP RPG, everyone is shagging everyone else? This is why I stopped reading Potter fanfic - because frankly, I don't need the mental imagery of a Harry/Dumbledore ship.

Sadly, I'm not kidding about that Harry/Dumbledore thing. And amazingly enough, it wasn't badly-written. Just...bizarre. But I don't read a lot of slash anyway, (I ship canon-only, which is nice) so the ick factor was present before we even incorporated the characters themselves.

But yeah - pretty much everyone in the Potterverse has hooked up with each other in fandom.
