He pauses on the steps to catch yet another painful breath. Up the steps, slowly, and Han pounds on door with his unbroken hand.

"It's Solo. Are they back yet?" he yells, hoping Chewbacca parked in the back.

The engines overhead alert him that while they are not back, it will be but a matter of moments.

He sits on the porch swing and tries to recover from the trip across town.

"Okay, sweetheart, let's get some soup into you, then you can sleep. I'm not going anywhere."
