Vandemar: "She smells different, Mister Croup."
Croup: "And her stature is so much more poised, Mister Vandemar."
::they smile at eachother again::
Vandemar: "Can we help you?"

Croup: "And what business does one as old as yourself have with us, kind sir?"
Vandemar: "Very old Mister Croup. Very old indeed."

::Mister Croup laughs::
Vandemar: "He should be careful, Mister Croup. Sticking your head into places can sometimes get it lost."
Croup: "And where would the kind gentleman be without his head, Mister Vandemar? Where indeed?"
Vandemar: "Gone, Mister Croup."

Your selection of Egyptian artifacts. How old are they?
no subject
Croup: "They are originals from perhaps even before the time of the Pharoh's, young Miss... Fraiser."
Vandemar: "I could taste 'em to see more exact, if you like."

::Croup gestures across the room::
Croup: "Feel free to try on whatever you wish."
[ooc: and feel free to find whatever you're wanting. My creative brain is a little fried from finishing my creative writing homework.]

"These will do for now," she says. "They are what we customarily adorn ourself with. However, we seek more, shall we say, specialized items that once belonged to us. Certain bracelets and belts, and unguents used to anoint our most beloved one. I trust you can find them for me?"
OOC: I figured it'd be way too easy for you to have the hand device, Jaffa-making belt thingie which never got a name, and Hathor's pheromone cocktail on hand in the store. However, pretty ancient Egyptian jewelry that once belonged to Hathor? Easy.

Vandemar: "Thursday at the latest."
Croup: "That is, assuming we are able to track down the items. A usually truthful assumption, however... some things have proven even beyond our reach."
Vandemar: "We need longer arms, Mister Croup."
Croup: "Any longer arms and we'd be in serious danger of appearing to be orangutans, Mister Vandemar."
::Croup and Vandemar chuckle::

Vandemar: "We aren't really a dealer in words, more in items. We're supposed to send business of that sort to Mister Aziraphale."
::Mister Vandemar spits on the floor::

He hesitated for a moment. "Tell me, then... are you capable of procuring the Stone of the Sages?"
no subject
Vandemar: "Would these be any particular sages? We need a bit more description than that..."

no subject
Vandemar: "Sorry. Sold the last just yesterday."

Vandemar: "I am. We don't carry alchemical artifacts. Too risky."
::Mister Croup laughs from behind the kiosk::
Vandemar: "Especially in the hands of a wee one like yourself."

"..."
"...What the hell are you on about with this "wee" business? WHO'S SO SMALL THAT PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE HE'S AN ACTUAL ALCHEMIST?!"
no subject
Vandemar: "Come back when you're older. Wee ones who shout a lot sometimes go missing. You wouldn't want to go missing."
::Mister Croup grins wickedly behind the kiosk::

He storms out the door and is gone.
