Maia laughs. "Well you've come to the right place. As you can see we have chocolates to cater to every fancy."

*Paige forces a smile* something with caramel, I need comfort food!

Maia frowns slightly. "I am sorry Geoff had to go away" Maia reaches behind the counter to pull up some caramel filled chocolate roses.

*Paige nods* Did you know he was going?

Maia stops and looks up at Paige. "I um, I was not sure when he was going to go.." Maia trails off watching Paige's reaction.

*Paige nods her eyes filled with tears* It's ok, I'd rather not have known, if I had last night wouldn't have the same, I'd have spent it worrying about him leaving rather then celrbrating living together.

*She looks at Maia* He's gonna come back isn't he? *a tear rolls down her cheek and she shews her lip waiting for the answer*

"Oh darling yes, yes of course he is. Yes, he won't be gone long darling I promise." Maia comes around the counter and hugs Paige. "I am sorry I didn't tell you but yes he is coming back."

*Paige hugs Maia back* I'm glad, cos I was really scared he might not be able to.

I miss him so much already, it's pathetic. The thought of going to bed without him there is killing me. *she takes a deep breath* So what's this homework you need me to help with?

I'm supposed to get one of you guys not taking Criminology to rate these crimes, from the man who deserves the greatest punishment, to the least:

* A rich man who kills another rich man for a large sum of money to provide more for his family (greed)
* A poor man who kills a rich man for a small sum of money to provide more for his family (perceived necessity)
* A man who kills another man because that man hurt a member of his family (retribution)
* A man who kills another man because he catches that man in bed with his wife (rage)
* A man who kills another man because they are from different sociological groups (prejudice)
* A man who kills another man for the enjoyment of killing (thrill)

The handout says, "Assume that all the men intended to kill their victims, understood their crimes, and there are no other mitigating factors. If the person you question believes they should all receive the same punishment (life in jail, execution, etc.) please ask them to rank them anyway if they would."

Ok well I'd say A man who kills another man because they are from different sociological groups (prejudice) should be punished most cos it's basically a hate crime, then A man who kills another man for the enjoyment of killing (thrill), because he doesn't have a reason for what he's doing, then a rich man who kills another rich man for a large sum of money to provide more for his family (greed) because he's already rich so why do it, then a man who kills another man because he catches that man in bed with his wife (rage), then A man who kills another man because that man hurt a member of his family (retribution) and finally a poor man who kills a rich man for a small sum of money to provide more for his family (perceived necessity) because it's done for the right reason.

*Paige smiles* No probelm it kept my mind of Geoff for a minute. So how much do I owe you for the chocolate?

"$1.50" Maia looks sad for a momemt as she seems to shake off an image. "Paige... you think Sara and I are ok huh? I mean, you don't think she would end it with me just like that do you?"
