"Hey, Deb," Shane says as she steps through the door, dressed in a dark blue wifebeater, black cargo pants and her boots. Her sunglasses are hooked into the front of her wifebeater and she's got her usual take-out from the Perk. "How was last night? Still slow?"

Pretty slow. Had a few folks, but no rush. Everything's pretty good tonight. I still say falafel tastes like wallboard, but that's me.

Shane nods as she stows her stuff in the usual drawer and tucks an order pad and pen in her back pocket. "Yeah, I'm not a big fan, either," she says with a chuckle.

"Hi! Can I get the fish and the meatloaf? And all the lemon bars that you have. Thank you!"

"Hey, sure," Shane says, giving her a welcoming smile. Her eyes widen just slightly at the order and she chuckles. She turns and gives Deb a curious look. "Um... Deb, can we do that? Would that be cool?"

We're cool. I have some more pans in the fridge that we can bake if we need to.

"Awesome," she says with a nod and a smile, the smile hanging on as she turns back to Alanna. "Problem solved, then. Let me just go put this order in and I'll get the lemon bars wrapped up for you." She taps her order pad on the counter, smiling as she heads off to call for a regular dinner and a diet dinner.

"Hey... Bagoas, right?" Shane greets as she approaches the counter. "How are you? Are you doing all right? Good to see you're back safe and sound."

"No, I didn't get hurt," Shane says gently. "And you didn't cause any trouble. I didn't see you in there kicking Han in the ribs." She frowns but soon shakes her annoyance off. "So, anyway... what can I get you tonight?"

*Paige walks in soon after the place opens, she looks around for Deb or Shane biting her lip and looking upset*

Having heard the bell over the door go, Shane glances up from her work wrapping silverware and frowns. "Paige? You okay?" She asks.

She shakes her head "not especially, I just came in to tell you..." Paige bites her lip almost sure she' gonna start crying again "Geoff won't be in for a while, he-he's gone away" She shakes her head trying to keep control "I don't know when he's coming back" a tear rolls down her cheek which she quickly wipes away

"Paige," Shane says gently, pulling a paper napkin from a nearby dispenser and gesturing to a seat at the counter. "C'mere and sit down and I'll get you some coffee, okay?"

George takes a seat. The specials sound tempting, but she has but one thing on her mind: coffee!

"Shane claims that you brew a mean pot of coffee." George says, looking only a slightly bit dubious. "I'd like the largest mug you offer."

"All right, here you go," Shane says with a smile as she places a clean cup on the counter in front of George and pours her some coffee.

George picks up the mug and breathes in the fragrant steam. She takes a sip before looking back up at Shane, and giving her a smile of contentment. "Thanks. I really needed that."

Beka's had the kind of day that only the damned and the hungover can have. She oughtta know. She's both. But now, many hours later, she's hungry. Lee's toast didn't appeal, and at the moment, she's more interested in being alone, than anything anyhow.

Definitely sleeping on the Maru tonight. Definitely.

She walks into the diner and looks around. She's never been, doesn't really recognize any of the food choices, and doesn't see anyone she knows... except, oh. That girl.

Shane. Hell. The one who just broke up with Rogue.

Well, Rogue hadn't seemed too upset about Shane herself. So... whatever.

"Hey." Beka waves.

"Hey," Shane says, though she doesn't wave. She's standing behind the counter, hands occupied doing the usual diner busy work of refilling sugar jars.

She got maybe one good glance at Beka while they were fighting their way to Special Collections at school, but it's hard to forget anyone's face when the memory is tied to so many other important ones.
