Red's: The sign says Open - half a day.

Opened for business, Red hung a sign in his window.

Feel free to stop by while the kids are busy at Homecoming, come meet your fellow community business owners.

Food and drink will be served.

Hopping up onto his stool at the counter, he stared down at something in a small, shallow box, his tail swishing in agitation.

Cameron passes by the store, he's actually very late back from his morning run and he seems to be very cautious as he walks in. "Hey, Red."

"Needed a sleep in," he frowned slightly and shook his head. "The prof has been off sick all week." He paused for a moment and then asked awkwardly, "have you talked to me since you gave me your business card?"

Cameron sighed in relief and relaxed. "No, not any more. There just was an incident and it made me act weird... and I might have stepped on some people's toes but I don't remember what happened." He blinked and wondered if that made any sense at all.

"Pretty much, I'm trying to do some damage control." Cameron shrugged. "The townies are holding a party tonight too?"

"Just put a bandanna in your hair and you should be all 80s?" Cameron suggested with a smile.

Cameron opened the box and tried to keep a straight face at the tie. His own costume wasn't much better after all. "I could help if you want?"

"Alright," Cameron put the tie around his own neck and started fumbling with it. It'd been a while since his father had shown him how to do this, but after a while he got it right. Grinning in triumph, he loosened the knot far enough for Red to get through and slipped the tie over his head again. "That should do it," he said as he held it out for Red.

Cameron stared at Red for a moment, it really was a very different sight. "You'll fit right into the 80s theme of the evening," he grinned and didn't add that the 80s were probably the worst decade for fashion anyway.

"No, I got a bit of a different costume in mind that comes without ties." He really had to try very hard to not keep staring at the tie.

"No worries, I'm glad to help out." Cameron wasn't all too sure if everyone at the party would be as well, though. "I should get going. Need to get my own custome in order. I might catch you tonight?"

"Thanks, have fun!" Cameron says before moving out again.

((ooc: OMG that is awful. He really needs to wear that to the townie party too -- so we can all think, WTF?))

[identity profile] bens-mikey.livejournal.com 2005-10-07 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
((ooc: no problem, the more the merrier. It's probably good that Michael tends to be missing the fashion sense part of the gay gene or that tie would send him through the roof. Oddly enough, I have an original character in a story that would wear a tie like that, because he too has no fashion sense. And those colors and Red's coat just clash so nicely. :) ))

After classes finished for the day, returning to the dorms were the last thing D'anna wanted. She left the school grounds and headed for town intent on no place in particular. Passing a few shops, she came upon one that brought a smile to her face. "I haven't seen Red since we got back," she thought to herself and so in she went.

[ooc: we can finish this up over the weekend.]

D'anna smiled and held up her hands, "Scrapes are all healed and most of the bruises are gone. How about you, Red?"

[identity profile] dbiers.livejournal.com 2005-10-09 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's good to hear." D'anna looks around to be sure no one will over hear her and leans across the counter to whisper to Red, "Well..."

[ooc: Ack! *flails* I have no idea what we did - I crashed before it was discussed. Also, unflooded yet?]

Still smiling, "Yeah, this island is... unique." She looked around the shop, and then on a whim, "Red, what have ya got in the way of dangly earrings?"

[ooc: No worries.]
