Pre-homecoming prep...
[ooc: A couple of people were asking if Shane was going to do hair today and so since it seemed like there might be a need, she's opening the door at her place in Amber House and keeping it open all day - so - if you need an updo, or an undo or a redo, just stop by and she'll do her best...]
Curled up on the loveseat, Shane was flipping through an issue of Hollywood Life that had arrived the day before. She still had quite a bit of time until she had to head over to Deb's to help out with the pre-Homecoming rush dinners. For the most part, in town, everything was quiet or just barely humming - either closing down or making preparations for the evening.
As for herself, she wouldn't be going to homecoming... instead, she'd be going to the movies with Kate. On her way out to get her morning double-shot, she'd checked out the marquee and winced. Still, she called Kate and left her a message to let her know what was playing.

She heads over to the dining area and drags one of the tables away from the table and into the kitchen. "Okay, have a seat," she says, arranging the chair in the middle of the kitchen floor and tapping the back of it. "I need to go get my pins and stuff. Be right back."

Under her arm, she carries a folded leather bundle, her stylist kit. She comes back into the kitchen and opens the kit up, just in case, and reaches for a large plastic jar of bobby pins, setting them up on the counter. While she's at it, she plugs the curling iron in and sets it for low.

She's surprised to see Shane's door slightly open, and when she pushes it far enough to slip inside, her eyes widen at the sight of Shane preparing to style--Paige? Yes, Paige--'s hair.

"You never told me you were a hair-dresser." Her voice is chiding, but warm.
