Dinner at Nolita [filter: Ten and CJ and anyone else at dinner before the dance]

The Doctor had made reservations for five pm. She dressed in her gown, a filmy green chiffon number with a halter neckline, and did her hair to cover that awful bruise that was changing into putrid shades of purple and green as it healed.

She walks in, wearing the lovely corsage he had sent her, and looks around for him.

((ooc: For whenever Ten-Mun gets back))

[Ten was running late, which upset him. However, his sporran was just not hanging the way it was supposed to, and he'd spent fifteen minutes trying to get it right.]

[He spots CJ in the foyer and hurries inside.] My god, you look stunning.

[He thickens his accent deliberately.] Scottish. Is that a compliment, then? Let's.

[He smiles widely at her.] Let's be fancy and over-done and like nervous teenagers. Steak. A large one. How about you?

Perfect choice. [Then, suddenly shy, he fiddles with the fringe of his kilt.] Good day, then?

You fought with Jack? [He looks up at her and grins.] That's always fun.

I didn't do much at all, some reading for pleasure, did a bit more research on the whole Homecoming concept. Voted for the king and queen.

[He blushes, embarrassed.] A classic fantasy novel from this period, one that also dealt with race and sexual orientation issues--rather progressive, actually. It's sitting by the bed if you want to look at it.

Oh, and er...something else that I don't want to talk about in polite company...

[He shakes his head.] Not at all. Mingling is the order of the day at social events.

[He shakes his head.] You didn't mention it. And as long as I get a dance with you, I'll be satisfied.

Fantastic...I've been wanting another dance since the last. [finishes his steak, swallows some wine...his lips are dyed slightly red]

I'll keep that in mind. About time I met a fine dancer.

Indeed. Dessert? Coffee, tea, or me?

[orders creme brulee and a coffee] Want a coffee, then?

[orders a second coffee] I have a feeling this will be quite amusing.
