Rory takes a deep breath before hesitantly pressing the doorbell.

She fidgets, waiting for someone to answer the door. She half-hopes that Logan's not home. Though she had left Angela a couple hours prior, and confirmed her suspicions online, she had yet to come up with a way to talk to Logan about...what had happened.

Logan opens the door. "Hey! Rory! What's up?"

"Hi," Rory says, attempting to match his cheerfulness. "Um...how are you?"

"Pretty good," he says. "Wanna come in?" He holds the door open for her.

"Sure," she says, nodding, and ducking in past him. "So...your day went well? No hangover?" she asks, wanting to make absolutely sure he was in a good mood.

"Nah," he says. "Good tequila. How about you?"

"Pretty good," she replies, smiling shakily. "Very little after-effects, except that I'm pretty sure I left some of my dignity back at that party."

Quit stalling, Rory. Just do it.

She swallows hard. "Um, Logan, there's something I kind of wanted to talk to you about," she says tentatively, crossing her arms around her and trying to relax a little.

"Yeah?" he says warily, crossing his arms and standing up a little straighter.

She clears her throat. "I just...I wanted you to know that..."

She falters, and starts again. "Remember how you told me you've been through a lot of stuff in the past couple years? I...well...I just connected the dots," she says, meeting his eyes and biting her lip. "I'm an idiot for not realizing it sooner, I know."

Logan rolls his eyes. "Don't do this, Rory."

"Don't do what?" she asks, confused. "I just wanted you to know that...um, I know. And um, that I...well, if you ever need someone to talk to, about...what happened...I mean, I know you probably didn't tell me because you doon't want to talk about it, but...if you ever feel like you need to..."

She trails off, looking to him.

"Don't pity me," he says sharply. "And don't think you know everything 'cause you read some tabloid article about my family."

"I'm not pitying you, Logan," she says, hurt. "And I don't think I know everything, either. I'm just trying to understand, and I'm trying to tell you that you can talk to me, because I won't pity you, or anything like that. I'll just...I'll listen. I'm pretty good at that, when I'm given the chance."

"Thanks," he says, "but I'm fine."

He notices her expression, and softens a little. "I'm sorry," he says. He puts his hands on her waist and draws her close, touching her forehead to his. "I've had to deal with a whole lot of press about that stuff - it's one of the reasons I came here."

She gives a small smile, and slides her arms around his neck.

"I know," she says softly. "I figured you'dve told me if it was something you really wanted to talk about. So we don't have to discuss it anymore at all if you don't want. I just wanted you to know I'm here, and that I care about you, okay?"

"Thanks," he says, kissing her forehead. And then her lips.

Rory leans into the kiss, glad that the whole thing was, if not resolved, out in the open.

"So," she says, coming up for air and eager to change the topic, "what'd you and Angelus do about after I left? Because if I'm getting some vampire's sloppy seconds here, I want to know up front."

Logan laughs. "Nah, he's not my type. We just talked about a poker game I'm organizing."

"Poker?" Rory asks, tilting her head. "Oh, like a guys' night kind of thing?"

"Yep," Logan says. "Angelus said his buddy Bel might be interested, and I left a message for Marty - could be cool. Testosterone bonding and all that."

She nods. "Maybe I'll organize a slumber party or something for the girls," she says thoughtfully. "It'll give us something to do while you're all off losing money. Pillow fights, nail-painting, lingerie, the like."

"Excellent," Logan says with a smile. "Can I set up a video cam feed so we can watch from the poker game?"

"Maybe. You have to promise to keep tabs on all the guys and make sure none of them try to sneak over incognito, though," she replies, smiling. "We had a problem with that last time. And in return, I'll make sure that my alter-ego Ronald and all the other guys with bad facial hair don't make an appearance. Not that you wouldn't immediately realize it if Ronald was in your midst, of course," she adds.

Logan taps a finger against his temple. "Already considered that. I'm installing DNA scans at the door of this event."

She shakes her head, grinning. "There was palm scanning thingy at the last one, and we all still managed to get in - and what's more, we weren't even discovered until way late in the meeting. So I don't know what you're going to do about security."

"I think I can do a little better than the Virgin's Club. I have actually seen a woman before," Logan smirks.

"Really?" Rory says, feigning surprise. "You don't say?"

"I do say," Logan says, pulling her in closer. "Anyway, this'll just be four or five guys, so we should be able to notice any crashers."

She kisses him lightly, and playfully replies, "Even if they have very good disguises? And convincingly deep voices? And the most awesome facial hair ever?"

She blushes. "No...I'm just awesomely good at it, and I like showing off."
