Late Saturday [NOT FOR BROADCAST] CJ/Shane revelations
She's got one whole box packed, thanks to chatting with Elizabeth . She was really happy to have an assistant again, and E. was so smart, a real firecracker in class. It was hard not to show her favor in class...she really didn't belong in high school with a mind like that.
Walking around the apartment, she realized how little she was attached to most of this stuff. She'd bought it because she liked its look, or it was functional, but honestly, she'd barely been home in DC, and she was barely here in town before she began staying at Ten's.
She sat on the sofa and closed her eyes. Ten. A smile spread across her face. She'd been gone so long today. She couldn't wait to get home to see him. She grabbed the box...not heavy, and with only the things she really wanted to have with her. Pictures mostly, and Bast...couldn't leave her behind.
She locked the door behind her and started the trip across the park. When had it gotten so late? Approaching the bench by the lake, she spied
shane_mcc, always a welcome sight.

I know what you mean...in DC we had such distinct seasons. In LA it's various shades of brown, and at Berkeley the seasons were wet, damp, kinda dry, and gay pride. [smiles at her own joke] God, I miss Berkeley sometimes.

[She wipes the tears away from Shane's cheeks with her thumb]
God, honey. I know. Never tell. Never.
[She takes her arm from around Shane's shoulder and clasps her hand]
Come on. You aren't going home alone tonight, and you aren't going to be ready to see Kate if she comes home and finds you like this. You're staying here tonight. You can have my bedroom.
[Stands, pulling her hand]

This is it. Tomorrow we'll wake up and it'll be a brand new day. Maybe we'll both feel better...maybe we won't feel any different. Either way, we're not alone, right?

[Turns back the covers] Lay down, I'll tuck you in.
