Kate gingerly picks up the vase, staring at the flowers in slight awe. She doesn't have to look at the card to know who sent them.

Irises...how did you know?

There should be a burning sensation in her eyes. She knows that, can feel it. Yet there isn't, and all she does is cary the bouquet inside, gently holding it close to her heart.

She's planning to share every emotion she has in a thank you that both of them will cherish forever.
