Chaucer's, Saturday, Early Afternoon (Locked to the4thsister)

Geoff walks through the door to his shop and drops the pack on the floor. "Paige?!" he calls loudly. "Are you here?"

Paige is upstairs sitting in front of her laptop when she hears Geoff. She runs down the stairs and straight into his arms holding him tightly.

"Geoff! I'm so glad you're back." She kisses him, "I've missed you."

Geoff holds Paige tightly and whirls her in a circle as he kisses her. "I've missed you, too, my love."

Paige smiles, "You're back for good now right? You don't have to go back again tomorrow do you?" she bites her lip remember waking up to a note the week before

Geoff kisses her again. "For good this time. I promise." He smooths her hair and smiles. "Have you been well?"

Paige nods slowly, "I've been...okay," she doesn't want to worry him with the news about her passing out last week.

She runs her fingers through his hair and looks into his eyes. "I've just missed you much, I can't believe you're finally back."

Geoff gives Paige a concerned look, as though he knows she's not telling the whole truth.

"I handled this very badly, and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken off the way I did."

Paige rests her head on Geoff's chest for a moment, "It wasn't your fault. I know you didn't want to go."

She smiles up at him, "It's ok really. I'm so just glad you're back. We have a lot of lost time to make up for," she says with a slight twinkle in her eye

Geoff returns her smile and kisses her lightly. "Yes, my lady, we do indeed."

"I've done quite a lot to the place upstairs, maybe I should show you now?"
She bites her lip again, "the bed's felt really empty without you in it with me."

She closes her eyes trying to put the thought of how much she missed his body next to hers.

"I bought food and stuff, we shouldn't have to leave the shop for a few days if we don't want to," she adds hopefully

"I would love to see what you've done." He pulls her close and whispers in her ear. "And I've felt empty without you beside me."

Another kiss, and then he says "Lead on, my lady."

Paige smiles and takes Geoff's hand leading him upstairs (http://www.livejournal.com/users/geoff_chaucer/5388.html), she's not felt this happy in a while.
