Saturday Morning at The Perk
She is up early. Far earlier than she thought she would be. She couldn't sleep last night, thinking about what Ten had told her, and thinking about what she'd seen. Then there was the phone call with Shane. And finally sleeping, she was woken by her phone again. Years of habit made her answer it. The White House was a 24/7 job...you never were without your phone. Since Ten had fixed it so it worked inside the TARDIS, it seemed to ring constantly.
It was Daniel. He was back from...where ever. It was too early to care. Clearly, coffee was the magic word for both of them. She got up, cleaned herself up, dressed quickly and scrawled Ten a note before she headed out. Ten, gone for coffee with Daniel. He just got back. I'll bring you a macchiato. I love you. CJC
She stepped into the Perk and looked around, to see if he had maybe gotten there before her.

"CJ," he smiles, moving to join her.

[She smiles brightly, but she looks incredibly tired. Something in her eyes is different from the last time Daniel saw her, and she has her own bruises that she tries to keep covered with her hoodie.]

Are you okay?

Met with some people I used to deal with... or not, would be more accurate, back in my old job. They wanted something which I wouldn't give them.

Uh, yeah, I did
*absently takes a mouthful of his own coffee, burning his mouth*

*he looks pensieve* Yeah, I am. Although I've... no, never mind.

We sort of had a... a thing going, but then I've obviously been out of town, and I've not been able to deal with some bad stuff that happened to her just before I was... before I left.

I do. Very much so.

Ok, that came out wrong. Sorry.
But really. Go see her. Talk to her. Take presents and be honest. It'll work out.

I sent her flowers. She seemed to like them, and invited me over to talk, so hopefully... *he sighs, and takes another drink from his cup*

When you aren't being a complete girl...of course, who would believe a pervert like me. [her jaw clenches with annoyance.]
no subject
Ah. Yes. The revenge.

I've already begun. He's going to wish...[she sips her coffee and seethes.]

CJ--
Had to clear my head, went for a bit of a walk. Back soon, keep the macchiato warm if you're back before I am. I love you too.
