Chaucer's, Saturday Evening
Geoff walks into the shop, leaving the door open behind him, and places two packages on the counter. He calls up the stairs. "Paige, love, do we have one of those keeps-things-cold cupboards?"
[OOC: That open door? That's an invitation, folks.]

"Yes baby, we have a cooler, I'll go put the stuff away."

Geoff beams at Paige, then turns with a welcoming smile to Tara. Offering his hand, he says, "Obviously you're a friend of Paige's, but I don't think I've had the pleasure. Geoff Chaucer."

[Zat vould be Geoff. I vant you to be nice to him, alright? Zis is his home, and his business.]
She walks over to Geoff and Paige, and indicates the man. "Paige, I believe you've already met Ludvig. Geoff, may I introduce Herr Ludvig von Beethoven."
She steps aside and indicates Beethoven to move forward.
"Erm...he's mostly deaf, but he can read your lips if you speak German. I'll translate, if you'd like."

[Vhy, how could you think I'd be anything but a gentleman? Besides, I am razzer anxious to meet Mr. Chaucer. I assume he's that man standing next to your young friend?]
Beethoven walks up to the small group and, seeing Sonia mouth his name, bows low to Paige, and then to Geoff.
[OOC: Oh, yeah, pretend the dialogue in brackets is in high German. :D]

[Geoffrey has been avay on...certain matters these few veeks. I need to go over a few items of business, zo if you vant to continue vurking, you can use my desk in zer meantime. Oh, and I can get you some coffee if you'd like.]
She looks back to Geoff, and smiles at him. "It's good to have you back, by the vay. How vas your trip?"

With that, he bows out of the little group and heads over to one of the far walls to inspect another of the Coat-of-Arms Chaucer has hanging.

"I need coffee. Vould you like some? There's more than plenty- I knew I'd need a lot for today."
no subject
She lowers her voice "so how come you're looking after him?"
((Gary Oldman Beethoven, what are you doing to me? ;D))

He looks over an Sonia. "I'm afraid my German is pretty bad, although I do speak French, if that would help."
no subject
He turns his head to Sonia as she questions him, and shakes his head negative.
[My French is poor at best, and I have not had much experience...reading it. Please offer him my apologies- and let him know that I am a great admirerer of his works. He seems to have a genuine and qvite remarkable way vith vurds.]
[OOC: I honestly can't remember if Beethoven knew French- Italian, I believe, but not so sure with the Gallic. :D]

[OOC: Very pleased to me? What the heck was that. Well, obviously you understood. Sorry 'bout that. And, btw- yeah, I'm pretty much bs-ing what Geoff knows, although in my defense I am basing my bs on some theories his biographers have put forth. Anyway, this is Fandom High, right? Not supposed to be realistic.]

"I hope you don't mind if he stays here vith me again today? Like I told Paige, I don't think he could get into much trouble on purpose, but then, you never know in this town."
