At the Perkolator

After escaping Art class and naked (Evil) Ash, Callisto and Jake decided to head to the coffee shop. Jake was traumatized to the point where only lots of coffee would help him keep sane.


(ooc: Callisto - I'm more sleepy than I realised, so this will have to be slow played. Putting the post up anyhow as backdating is bad.)

Veronica looks around to make sure no one is close enough to overhear them.

"Well, Phoebe came to see me last night. She wants me to investigate the threats she's been getting."

Piper nods. "Yeah, I've been very worried about her. But knowing you're on the case makes me feel a little better. You think you can figure out who is doing this?"

"I hope so. She gave me a few good leads."

Veronica hesitates because she thinks she recalls hearing that Piper was interested in Belthazor at some point, but knows she needs to ask the question anyway.

"What do you think the chances are that it's Belthazor? Phoebe told me he doesn't like her living off-campus with Jayne. Do you think he could be trying to scare her into moving back to the dorms?"

Piper lowers her voice. "I thought about that, but I honestly don't think he had anything to do with it. He seems to care about Phoebe too much. But I guess it could be possible. I thought maybe Jayne could be behind it too, you know, to make Belthazor look bad?"

"Jayne is on my list of people to talk to," she says.

"So, have you received any weird letters or anything? I was wondering if maybe the threats against Phoebe had something to do with your family being witches."

"Temporary insanity?" Jake suggests dryly. "Actually, I generally like the class. ...When I can't see quite so much of the teacher." His face went all horrified again and he quickly started drinking his mocha.

You're welcome. Most people I hit aren't as understanding. Although, gotta say, lollipops? Don't suck. *she grins and licks hers* And you were a lot easier to deal with than Broots was.

Professor Cregg mentioned that when I ran into her yesterday. And she seemed to be okay with it as well. I think after a while here, you just assume you're going to be assaulted, and if the person apologizes you feel like you have to let it go.
