Spike's Pub - Opened at 5 on the spot.

Kadaj sat at the bar, his fingers playing over the edges of the envelopes. He waited for Paige and the other guy, who's name according to the envelope was James Ford.

Some digging around in town and a few well placed questions did confirm that Paige had moved out of the poet's house and was back on campus. Not much was known about the other guy but it was assumed he was also a student on campus. The best thing to do was to wait for them to show up.

Just get the keys and give them their last paychecks. Sounded simple enough.

With Loz in a corner table, leaned against the wall with his feet elevated and Yazoo digging around behind the bar, Kadaj opened Spike's for business.

Evil!Paige walks in suprised she hasn't had to open up, she she's Loz and gives him a wicked smile don't do it Paige tells her.

Yazoo looked up and watched Paige walk by. Shooting a look at Loz, who was watching her walk with intense interest, he went back to rummaging.

He sat at the end of the bar, the envelopes tapping against the surface when Paige walked in. Kadaj had never 'fired' anyone before. He would have just killed them and been done with it. Giving her a nod, he gestured to her to come over so they could talk.

"Depends on how you view it." Kadaj held up an envelope. "I won't bullshit you. I'm to take your keys to the Pub and give you your final paycheck."

After stopping off at Spider's office, Duce made a getaway into town and headed into the pub. Stopping just inside the door, her face scanned the early crowd. She spotted Paige and took a step in that direction before stopping and frowning to herself. The look on Paige's face wasn't normal, and her body language was all off. Combined with the odor of 'bitch in heat' coming off her in waves, Duce could tell something was very, very wrong.

Turning, she walked the other way, to a different corner of the bar. Nodding to .. whichever blondie was behind the bar, she quietly ordered a rum and coke. She wasn't facing Paige anymore.. but several of her snakes were.

Yazoo couldn't stop looking at the snakes in the girl's hair. It was neat, he thought. Keeping an eye on her drink, Yazoo stayed close enough to listen to Kadaj and Paige's conversation.

Taking her drink with a murmurred thanks, Duce slides a bill across the table in payment. Giving Yazoo a friendly smile, she continues to not watch Paige. Addressing the guy behind the counter, she asks quietly, "You a new employee here? Haven't seen you before."

It's later in the evening when Tex makes it down to the pub after settling into her apartment above her shop. She enters the pub, still completely clad in armour. The only difference is that she kept instead of her rifle, she's only wearing a handgun that's safely tucked inside its holster at her side.

Yazoo skirted the beginnings of the cat fight and went to the table of the new customer. He recognized them from the park earlier. Nodding, "Can I get you something?"

Tex nodded slowly, recognising Yazoo as well. "Whiskey, no ice."

An easy order. It wasn't some damn fruity drink. Yazoo was going to split someone's head if they ordered a damn fruity drink. Back to the bar, he pulled the glass down and poured up the order.

Back at their table, Yazoo set it down in front of them. "New?"

Marty walks into Spike's looking for Paige.

He also looks pretty pissed off.

[She walks up to the bar directly. She wants to drink, now. She gets the bartender's attention and orders two shots of Jack and a beer.]

Kadaj smiled and got the woman her two shots. He remembered her from the church. Maybe he would ask her about this Virgin Mary. She seemed pretty devout in their religion.

Hit me with one more shot, s'il vous plait. [She pulls out cash]

Faith walks in and heads straight to the counter. "Hey, Kadaj, right? I heard Spike was firing employees, and I was coming by to make sure I'm not on the list."
