Wednesday -- The Emporium is Open

Michael is very subdued this morning as he opens the store. There's cleaning and straightening to be done, so he's keeping busy. He's also trying not to be obvious about the eye he's keeping on Ben, who is seated near the back of the store, writing. The string of mala beads Michael gave Ben are wrapped around his left wrist, and he strokes them absent-mindedly, thinking, in between bursts of writing. The door to the back room is right behind Ben, and that reminder makes Michael shudder.

Sam walks into the store and begins wandering around, obviously looking for something in particular.

Sam smiles, "I'm actually looking for some spackle and a putty knife, if you have them."

That would be along the back wall with the hardware stuff. *points to the back of the store* If I remember right, it's over on the left side.

Sam takes her spackle and her putty knife, along with a Snickers bar and a bottle of water, up to the counter and waits patiently.

The door swings open and Tex enters. As always she's wearing her armour which makes a heavy, clunking noise as she walks around. She's carrying her rifle in one hand and what appears to be a shopping list in the other.

"I hope so," Tex says, ignoring Michael's nervousness. "Do you deliver?" She holds out the list for him which has a various amount of items on it ranging from simple groceries, pots and pans, plates, electronics and whatever you need for someone who's just moved.

We don't normally, but there is a delivery service in town we could use. There would be an additional charge for that, but I'm sure we could work out a deal considering the large number of items you're purchasing.

Hank walks in and immediately starts perusing the fishing equipment.

Hey, Hank. Haven't seen you around in a while. How's it going?

Hank nods at Michael. "I've been indisposed recently. It's been an odd few weeks. Or months, depending on your frame of reference."

As he turns back to the fishing equipment, he asks, "Which of these lures would you say is the best for the fish in the lake?"

I'm not much of a fisherman myself. *thinks about this town and some of what it contains* What is it you're trying to catch?

Yeah, we've got a few styles. *shows the girl to the correct shelf -- the cell phones have been moved out of the back room since Monday*

I'm afraid we don't but I'm going to have to get one if people keep asking. Someone came in and asked the same thing yesterday, I think he managed to find a locksmith in the area in the phone book, though. *pushes the phone book across the counter* *makes note to self to get key-duplicating machine*
