"Of course it is," she says absently, staring at the menu. She's glad there's no one else around to see her so lost. "Draco, I don't even know where to start - tall? grande? mocha? latte? Explain."
"Well, I made the mistake of ordering one black the first time. That was horrible. Seriously. I'm a tough guy but that knocked the wind out of me." he smiles "If I were you I'd go for something like a french vanilla cappacino. That doesn't taste too coffee like."
"Ahh, the weekend - this will be my first with no clinic time. I'm looking forward to... well, anything else, really!" She laughs. "The clinic has been great experience, but I feels like it's eating all of my spare time. Not that that mattered much before... well, you."
"It's not so bad on the magical side of things, but all these muggle procedures and medications - tiny little pills of all shapes, sizes, and colors - are driving me batty!" She winks at Draco as she takes her drink from him. "Your compliments are improving already, though."
"Compliments? I'm speaking the truth." he says "I had this great Uncle who used to come over on holidays. He was obsessed with muggle medicine. Used to drive my mother crazy." Draco didn't add that his Uncle was obsessed with muggle surgical procedures and had liked to experiment on the muggles themselves.
"Well, the JA is having a little 'get together' for the parents so that will keep Mother occupied for a while. To tell you the truth I kind of want her to meet Angelus's mother, he tells me they're quite alike." Draco sighed "Could be worse, my father could be coming. At least this way I don't have to impress anybody. I'll always be my mother's little 'angel'." Draco rolled his eyes at the last part.
"Yeah. I think the woman who he calls his mother is the woman who turned him into a vampire." he pauses for a second, "I was kind of weirded out by the whole vampire thing in the beginning but he's nothing like the vampires they have in the wizarding world. I mean, I've never seen him bite anybody or anything. Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen him drink blood."
Lily sips her cappuccino while he talks about Angelus. "I just wanted to get my facts straight. He is my... study-buddy, after all." She pauses. "The coffee that doesn't taste much like coffee is quite good - I can definitely see how people can drink so much of it!"
Draco laughs at the concept of Angelus being a study-buddy. "See, what did I tell you? At least I'm not like some of the students here. Some of them are coffee-insane!"
He then remembers that tonight was the night Jonathan was releasing the fear toxin at Spike's. He felt a familiar twinge of excitement from the fact that people were being hurt. But he also felt a bit of guilt that he was involved in it at all. He looks over at Lily and imagines how she'd react if she knew what he's done.
Lily notices the odd reaction. "But there were plenty of people out last Wednesday when we ate at Deb's. Something doesn't feel quite right." She shrugs. "Maybe it's just me."
"I think more research is necessary before I can reach a proper conclusion." She smiles back, though not completely convinced that everything is okay. "I guess you'll just have to take me out again for further exploration."
"Well I am most definitely taking you out again. And you already told me you weren't working this weekend so you can't possibly use that as an excuse not to, ha." he says laughing. He then points at his head and says "Like a steel trap."
"And since you are worried about the town tonight I shall take it upon myself to walk you home and protect you from any zombies and/or anything elses that you fear."
((If Draco is walking Lily home, we can go straight back to the Lily-journal. If you're planning on anything else, we can stay in this post/townies. preference??))

"I don't think I could do what you do at the clinic. I was never much for the
helping peoplehealing stuff. I don't have a head for it."no subject

Lily smiles sympathetically. "I can imagine that not going over well. Any idea how you're going to deal with Parents Weekend yet?"

Lily takes another sip and then realizes that Draco is staring at her. She blushes, but meets his gaze. "What is it?" she asks softly.

"You're just really beautiful, that's all." he says

*pats head* "Good boy, Draco."Lily looks around at the still empty cafe. "Does the town seem unusually quiet today to you?"

"I-um...it's Wednesday, I don't expect too many people would be out and about."
